There no rugby fans here? The tournament got under way long time and theres no thread for this.

Anywhere online i can watch live games?

I tried ITV but it doesn't allow users to watch outside the UK.

I was going to make one but there aint much interest in it here.I have made Rugby threads before.

Ireland play Georgia tonight.

New Zealand trashed Portugal 108-13 earlier
And Australia beat Wales 32-20

South Africa destroyed England last night 36-0

New Zealand look awesome but haven't been tested. They fucked up the last 2 World Cups so they want to win this one bad.I think South Africa might win it though. Australia are contenders too and iwouldnt rule out France yet.

Some people have Ireland as one of their favourites to win it but they were atrocious in their opening game against Namibia.Hopefully, they will play much better against Georgia later.

I dont know of any sites where you can watch it but the Ireland-Georgia game is live on Irish tv later.

New Zealand looks scary. They are my pick.

Is it going to be live on any of these Irish sites from here?
http://wwitv.com/portal.htm

If not, my only option is to go ahead and order pay-per view. Its only $3.99.

Fucking country... USA made it and they aren't telecasting their country games, let alone the whole tournament. Instead they're showing sissy NFL games.

Well, in Ireland they are showing all the Irish games and a few others which sucks because i want to see New Zealand, Australia and South Africa all the time.

The name of the channel is TV3 and its not on there. They are showing the whole tournament on Setanta as well but that isnt on that site either.

Its 7-3 to Ireland at half time. With all respect to Georgia, If Ireland cant run up a big score against them then they can forget about it. Brian O Driscoll got the try for Ireland. Georgia are a massive team.

7-3 Ireland so far at the half. Not a bad performance so far by us. I noticed we play better in defense than offense.

We play similar against Argentina. We kept them from opening game right open in the first half but unfortunately in the second half they boosted and opened game right open.Similar is the first half of the game today against Irish.

^^Yea they are making it tough for us but you have to admit that a team that has ideas of going far in the tournament has to be beating the likes of Georgia by a big score. I mean that as no disrespect but Georgia., but would you see the likes of Australia or New Zeland struggling to beat them.

Wow, georgia have scored a try. This is a disgrace.Ireland are too over hyped anyway. They are a disgrace.

Georgia is playing well Bachaveli.

Game finished 14-10 to Ireland. It was a disgraceful performance. So was their performance against Namibia last week. I think Georgia had a second string side out as well. Ireland need to improve so much if they have any chance of beating France next week.

Yea we had second team out. It was a great game. Ireland is a great team. They are tough team to beat.

I'm sure everybody would agree on this, even though we lost the game, we really won this game. The game spoke for itself, no need to prove anything.

I'm just looking forward to the next game against Namibia.

Yea Georgia played great. Ireland are worrying. How can a team go so bad in the space of a few months. Losing the 6 nations on the last day in the manner that we did has had a bad effect on the team i think.I dont think they have got over it.

France beat Namibia 87-10 this evening.

well look at it this way Ireland are not the only 1s doing shit England is doing shit(which is a good thing) Wales are doing shit(Nothing new due to the fact that GJ is coaching) Scotland(They have slightly improved physically but they still suck) to sum it all up Ireland,England,Wales,Scotland are not going 2 get far the way they are playing. so all of them might as well pack their bags now because no way they are going 2 beat the likes of NZ South Africa etc

played ok the 2nd half the first half was rubbish clumsy they are dropping the ball and seem 2 have no idea what they are doing half the time i cant see GJ being coach after the world cup because he is rubbish as a international coach

Who knows anyway, maybe Ireland will up it for the France game but it is hard to see how they can improve that much in a week.

Good news, is that Rory Best is out injured. He is crap. Flannery is way better.

and Gareth Thomas has broken ribs and as for Ireland and the others improving by next week i dont think they will pull it off but like u said time will tell

What about the haka, ritual dancing that some teams do.What that fuck is that? It looks funny how they yell and scream but on the other hand it could be offensive for some teams.

Look at these clips.

If i'm on the opposite side, I feel offended and shit. Some of them point like we gonna cut your throat and we gonna fuck ya up. I mean i understand its not suppose to be taken literally but it still looks retarded. I'm just glad we don't do such thing.

What is it suppose to do? To motivate them and piss opponent team off? And do some teams do haka instead of their national anthems or they do both anthems and then haka?

It's a Pacific thing, most of the teams from that area do their own.

New Zealand

Fiji

Samoa

Tonga

How to respond:

"The WRU has also been advised by a top Maori expert and cultural adviser that the haka is performed to invite a response from the opposing team. We were told to stand strong in front of the All Blacks, be defiant, eyeball them and sing in a way that says: 'This is us, this is who we are, we're tangata whenua', which means the traditional owners and protectors of the land."
