First a short introduction for those who don't know what it's about.
Back when Warcraft 3 was the big, popular RTS game, some dude used the (very complex) Blizzard level editor to create a custom scenario. If you remember, Starcraft and Warcraft had editors which let you edit pretty much every game variable. You could make new games within the game itself. One example were the tower defense maps which pretty much spawned a whole game genre. Another example is Defense of the Ancients (DotA). I'm not gonna explain what it's about but you can look at it here:

Then a company called S2, with permission, took the DotA concept and turned it into a stand-alone game with its own graphic engine and their own renditions of heroes. Currently there are around 60-ish heroes to pick from. Each hero has 4 abilities. Some abilities are offensive, some are supportive, others defensive. The heroes are spread in 3 pools, agility, strength and intelligence. Every hero has a counter-hero in the game. Most people play 5v5. It's a very competitive game, and somewhat high paced. It's popular among your typical WoW PvP / Starcraft players, but it's not as overwhelming as say Starcraft. It still requires fast reactions and knowing hotkeys (high APM). Each game usually lasts between 20 and 60 minutes.

It was released in retail after a longer beta earlier this summer. Just wondering if anyone play it, or if anyone used to play DotA but never heard about it that might think about starting to play. I'm looking for people to play with
