Technology Review of 3rd Gen Gaming now that it's all out there

I was just wondering what everyones opinion on everything was. I remember about a year and a bit ago before anything was released, it was pretty xbox vs sony.

Xbox did alright getting into the market. And games like Gears of War is just fucking unbelievable.
Sony was just a flop and the over-hyped and over-priced machine got what it finally deserved. (where are u sony fanboys?)
but the biggest and best thing is the Wii. I haven't stopped. It is just too good... Unfuckingbeleivable.


My opinion

Sony - Promised too much, Delivered So Little
Microsoft - You got what they promised (surprisingly)
Nintendo - Didn't commit to anything, but OH MY FUCKING GOD did they deliver so much more.

As for PS3. Metal Gear. That is what it's all about, and for Xbox, Gears of War is crap.

Metal Gear doesn't really look that great from the videos i've seen. Sure, the gameplay looks great but the character animation reminds me of some shit from Playstation 1.

It's good, but it's like an orgasm. It's fucking awesome for a lil while, then it goes away. Didn't live up to the hype IMO...

My friend owns it, like MaKaVeLi2K3, it's good for a lil while, then the effects die off. I'm used to playing PC action games, so any first person/3rd person action game on a console usually takes a lot to blow me away.

Last actual action game on a console that has impressed me was God of War on PS2.

PS3 definitely over hyped but still a good system, better then 360? I wouldn't go that far. and over priced I got a hell of a deal on mine $430.00 bran new off ebay $489 with overnight shipping still got it for less then retail after you add in tax. some say because of the blu ray its not overpriced maybe so, maybe not truth is I don't know too many parents willing to shell out $500 to $600 for a game system which pretty much limits who can afford to buy it, which limits sales.

360 great system I've had mine for over a year and haven't had too many problems. don't want it to over heat? keep it well ventilated duh!

Wii- man i want one of these but every time i find them in stock I have no money! I think Nintendo is the big winner here they didn't expect this system to be such a big hit as it is. I'm looking forward to picking one up when i get my tax returns! which is next week!

Sony has some real catching up to do an i think their gonna have to pull a rabbit out the hat if they wanna make any waves. Last year at this time the 360 was still in high demand and hard to get a hold of. Now i go into Wal Mart and see about 7 or 8 PS3's just sitting on the shelf.

I played the Wii at my friends house, COD3 was so frustrating to play, i guess once you get use to it it's fun. Keyboard and mouse is much easier. Wii sports is fun with a group of drunk people

yes dad had a wife traded her in for the systems. Just cause i have the systems doesn't mean I'm on them 24/7. Shit I'm just getting to 1,000 posts on here. I have 2 kids, an go to school full time so no I'm not on them constantly, like it matters anyway people were asking for reviews so i gave my 2 cents, lord forbid.

sorry bout the double post. anyway, I like ps3 controller better, the battery lasts a lot longer. as far as menu's i like ps3's menu also, pretty good layout an very detailed as far as what ya wanna do to configure the system. 360's isnt bad either I just favor the ps3's over 360. Like i said before though both are good systems I don't think you can go wrong with either one.

I played Wii and 360. I got bored of Wii after few hours of playing. It's good to play a bit with a friend but when you're all alone and want to rest playing something nice it just sucks. 360 is really nice but you have to pay a lot for hd dvd add on. Soon games will take too much space to fit on a dvd disk. Anyway I prefer Japanese productions so I guess I'll go for PS3. But I'll wait till it gets a bit cheaper and they'll mod it. (about a year or so). Of course if PS3 will flop I won't buy it but the reason it's the same as 360 now is that it only copies 360 games. Let's see how it'll be when first exclusives will come out, then give game producers some time to get used to Cell and blue ray. Anyway I think PS3 will be my choice. It costs the most but is the best choice for the future (4-5 years at last I think). I think it'll handle all new titles when 360 (without even mentioning Wii) won't. Anyway it's too soon to talk about PS3

Yes Wii may injure you're arms (joints). Doing powerfull moves without hitting a target is dangerous. That's why in marial arts and sports trainers won't let you kick or punch too much in the air without reaching any target. So except stupid injuries there are some more serious.

360 owns all. GOW is a bad ass game. Nothing will ever compare to XBOX live. It's the best online experience out of any game systems.
