Is religion dead yet to you?

Time to awaken. Religion is getting you nowhere. Faith in God is getting you nowhere. Have no morals for a change. And go by what you know instead of what you believe for a change. The mention of hell is what got many people trapped into religion in the first place. Free your minds from thinking hell will get you if you dont believe. Dont let religion rob you blinded. Having no morals doesnt mean you a killer or etc. Nothing is a sin. The whole thing about sin was made up to keep your mind on hell. Screw hell! Screw heaven!

I see you believe in a higher power but not god. God is just another word for a higher power as far as I'm concerned. so like my boy Shakespeare said "What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other word would smell as sweet". So explain to me this higher power and how it is any differnt than what someone else might refer to as God.

Religion is not the only teacher of morals, if there was no religion it wouldn't mean there is no morals. We can look back in history where places that were never exposed to judeo-christian religions and see that they developed moral ethics without "the word of god".

Belief in a higher power, to me, is the same as believing in god. Like Big Flipp said, its another way of saying god.

To me religion is a form of discipline, I call it a 'psychological system'.

Im not religious, but I think that the principles of religion come into everyday life, regardless of weather you believe in them, follow them, or not.

i'm thinking... an undiscovered form of energy that is scientifically explainable being what triggered the creation of, and "runs" the universe as opposed to a person with limitless power who judges people by their deeds and puts them into eternal bliss or agony soon as they are dead. i can buy that.

Religion died when it became bankable, the moment that happen hands were stained with the blood of greedy men and went down the wrong path when we were at the fork in the road. I mean we mold religion to adapt into this day and age why do we have to mold and change something thats 2000+ years older then us?

It's like saying we're gonna stick explosives in Mt. Everest because we're tired of the shape it has. We have to make it fancy and pretty to adapt into the 2007 world.
