Not necesserily, Jews and Palestinians share the same dna, it's not the same with other Arabs though.
We as Muslims believe that it wasnt Jesus who was crucified, but his student who betrayed him.I dunno the exact story though, I'll leave it to ken or Yahya as I dont want to give you the wrong info.

I'd really like to know more about the Holy Qu'ran's (did I spell that right?) portayal of Jesus as a prophet, especially about what I put in bold in the quote.

It is our beleif that he was neither killed or crucified, and he will return at the end of times to kill the Dajjal (Anti-Christ).

That they said (in boast), "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah";- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:- Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise;- (Quran004.157-158)

We beleive he was a prophet and had a virgin birth, that he cured the blind and the leper, gave the dead life all by the permission of Allah, but he was not God.

And that he was sent only to the Children Of Israel:

"I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel" (Matthew 15:24).

"Do not go among the Gentiles, or enter any town of the Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel" (Matthew 10:5-6)

Jesus (PBUH) never claimed to be God. He was a messenger sent to the Children of Israel to bring them back to the straight path where they had deviated. He also prophecised the coming of Prophet Muhammed (SWH) {many prophecies are still in the Bible today} not for one people but the whole world.

Your right, Jesus never claimed to be God, but he claimed to be The Son Of God.

I thought the Bible was corrupted according to Muslims, so how could you use the Bible for your purpose? You say the Bible is corrupted but you take specific passages from the Bible when ever possible to justify your means, how could you do that?

Yeah this is our belief, but there are verses still in the Bible that agree with the Qu'ranic view and confirming the coming of Muhammed (SWH).

Jesus didn't say that from himself but from a law that was written before Jesus. He was speaking to Satan when Satan was tempting him. Telling him to worship God and serve him, as he was being defiant. He was not to worship Jesus but God, that would be common sense at the time. And Jesus didn't even have authority in heaven and the earth til chapter 28.

But it is still corrupted and your not suppose to use it, right? If it is corrupted then how do you know it is confirming Muhammed? Wasn't Muhammed the one who said it was corrupted in the first place?

If a passage in the Bible goes against your beliefs it is corrupted but if it supports or coincedes with your beliefs, it is true. Is that how it works? Don't worry it is common among a lot of religious people. People use bullshit to justify themselves every day, even if it never was their bullshit to begin with, because everybody wants to be right.

We know because it has been told he was in the Bible.

"Those who follow the Apostle, the unlettered Prophet, Whom they find mentioned in their own Scriptures, in the Torah and the Gospel... " (Surat-ul A'raf (7):157)

It is only used to prove what has come and the prophecies are no doubt talking of him especially when he is mentioned by name, so we know for sure it is talking of him.

Jahfo I apoligise if I have offeneded your beliefs, I only posted for the orginal question showing the muslim beleifs. The Quran agrees with the Bible on all points the only time it doesnt is when the bible argues with itself.

The reason why admin closed the original Jesus thread was so it would not turn into a disrespectful religious debate, and this is what you have done.

By all means, discuss your beliefs, but this my religion versus yours crap - Jafho looking directly at you - leaves me with little choice but to close this one.

If you cant discuss religion with tolerance towards the beliefs of others, then respectfully keep your opinions to yourself.
