aight....well..the cubs suck right now...and..i see no end to it...we got no young talent and all our veterans are being traded (maddux, walker)...plus...pierre would be retarded to sign with the cubs, no matter how much they paid him, next year...

Well the Orioles and Nationals suck. Tejada will probably be traded in the off-season. I HOPE the Nats re-sign Soriano. That'a all I can say, oh yeah. ESPN LOVES Yanks vs. Red Sox. Did anyone catch that hour coverage before the first game, you would have thought it was game 7 of the ALCS.

yeah, they do. they also had coverage between games, too. it's like steinbrenner is paying the bills over at ESPN.

it's def. the most hyped rivalry in all of american sports...correct me if im wrong....i dont think this exists anywhere else in any sport in america...

and im so happy this thread worked out well...

some more bits...of course, cubs bits....

seasons lost...has been lost since mid-june now....im almost positive that i want all cubs traded, or lost through FA, only for the draft picks...and then just have this team start up fresh with youth like the marlins....keep big z, lee and aramis...murton too...trade the rest...pierre deserves better, dempster was just a one-season stand, and everyone else just blows...ok, i forgot barrett too...but really, just lose stupid people like nevin and mabry, that just eat up money...use that money for a big superstar like tejada...have izturis at 2nd, make cedeno play the OF....and then have the youngsters fill in the rest of the empty holes...

there is a risk, however, with having a dominantly rookie rotation....it has gone both ways...its blown up in the cubs faces, but the marlins are doing very well with all rookies and dontrelle in their rotation..and d-train isnt doign that well anyways...

also, wade miller is supposed to make his cubs debut..6 months into the season

oh, and fuck kerry wood...soon to be prior as well..give him one last chance..
