Radio Waves Detected Coming From Center of Galaxy

That is interesting, but this kind of summed it up for me....

"There's no reason to expect anything but a natural cause," Hyman said.

Well..this is probably a natural cause..altough I did read: 'scientists all over the world are stunned by this'.. but for the record:

If you think there's no other intelligent life out there, you're being ignorant.

Recently ive heard/read about some "newly" discovered radio signals from 2002, wich seems to be from the center of the universe+-.

i searched google, and found lots of info on it.

I didnt see anyone speaking on it in here, and wanted to point it out, as i find it interesting.

Lol @ Rhy's comments. BTW these articles seem to be interesting. I don't know why but it makes me remember the movie Frequency. It's very interesting to see and makes you think about radio waves a lot and what's going on in the universe and whatnot. There's also the new Keaton movie called White Noise that looks interesting but I didn't watch it yet. It's a subject that's complicated but is mysterious at the same time because we never heard about that topic a lot in the media.

Peace

WHY IS IT THAT THE U. S. NAVY WANTS TO LOOK AT THE CENTER OF OUR GALAXY?

That's a good question. I know that historically that lab, which was set up 100 years ago when bringing scientists together to do basic research was viewed as a very positive enterprise. From a basic science point of view, it would allow us to learn about how our galaxy works and how it evolved. The center of the galaxy is the most energetic and densest region. It contains all of the extraordinary kinds of phenomena that we've seen. So, whenever astronomers want to study and learn about the galaxy, the center of the galaxy is prime real estate, as they say.

i dont get why the us navy would be interested

i could give lots of reasons on why ANYONE on this earth wants to explore the center of the universe, the main ofcourse would be to learn how it all started.

and 2nd, strange things seems to happen in the universe, we probably only know 0.1% of it, and even that guess is way to high.

but why would a branch of the u.s. army be interested in an area in our galaxy so many light years away
taken from one of the articles its simple to me.

these quotes really show why any would be interested in knowing more about the middle of the universe :

"From a basic science point of view, it would allow us to learn about how our galaxy works and how it evolved"

"It contains all of the extraordinary kinds of phenomena that we've seen"

"the center of the galaxy is prime real estate"

"The center of the galaxy is the most energetic and densest region."

i guess the army in every country leads space science...
just because something has the US lable on it, it doesnt mean that theres dark ideas behind, or some need to make up evil conspiracies about why.

plans have already been made to pre-emptively strike the source of these offensive radio waves.
