And the answer is..... System restore.
alot of people dont know about this,it lets you go back to a certain date and restores your computer back the way it was then.
so if you ever downloaded some spyware that doesnt seem to go away, or maybe a trojan that just keeps dropping hundred more trojans a minute, or maybe something else you fucked up.
In windows XP, do the following
Go to Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System restore
Follow directions. Sometimes you gotta do this in safe mode if ur computer is in too much of a mess to load up normally.
This is for the windows 95,98 or windows millenium heads. This is basically a soft of system restore method. i used it so many times when i fucked up,and it always saves me a headache or formatting my drive and reinstalling windows.
Do the following

then type the following
scanreg /restore
then it will present you with a few restore points,it gives you i think 5 days. choose an earlier date, then it will restart the computer,and voila.
