If a person had 2 or 3 pounds of excess fat mainly around their stomach would that look like a lot of fat? especially for someone who isnt that tall.

im not really fat or anything. i just have a bit of excess fat on my stomach, mainly because i havent done any cardio in a few months and im wondering when i lose it, how much roughly my weight will go down.

^^ lol ^^

the unfortunate thing about the abs is that it is the first place fat is deposited in the human body, and the last place it leaves meaning that it is the most difficult part of the body to lose fat from.

ive got excess fat on the abs and with it cannot get ripped around that area. when i start going to the gym again i wanna do lots of cardio, get fit and into shape. lose the excess fat, then start doing weights again, hypertrophy and you know the rest.

then maintain fitness and muscle.

i remember you made a similar thread or participated in a similar thread a few years ago.

i think that was the same one that someone said to lift your knees to your stomach while hanging from a chinning bar.

i would suggest V-ups. - the only thing i dont like about doing V-ups are that my legs muscles are quite tight and eventually after about 15-20 i can feel a strain coming on my quads and hams.

edit: it might look a bit fat, especially if theres no tone whatsoever. in proportion to lats, obliques and pecs you should judge how it looks and see whether or not it looks fat.

take a picture and then see it because it'll look like you're looking at someone else. (may have different effect from a mirror).

^^my abs are actually fairly well built up from Bicycle crunches and other exercises. im not really bothered about them showing up though.

But if you real want to have them showing your gonna have to have very little fat on your stomach and lets face it, unless you are professional athlete, can train every day, or are naturally slim then its gonna be very difficult to keep fat of your stomach and maintain your six pack. As you said, the place where men will put on most fat is their stomach.
