Technology Question about car CD players

#1
My sister just put a CD player in her car with CDR whatever playback but it still won't play most of her burnt CD's. Most of her CD's are ones that she burnt herself and she can't play hardly any of them in her car. They all play in the comp and in a regular CD player, just not in the car. Anyone know of any way to get em to play? Someone told her that putting a ring around the edge with a permanent marker would make em play but it doesn't work. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Ok, thanks. I'll tell her to try that but what about the ones she already has? She's got dozens of em and sometimes they'll play a couple of songs and then quit or won't play em at all.

No, they're not mp3's, I don't think, she downloaded them from Lime Wire and burnt them on CD's. She's got a brand new comp with a built in burner so it's not the comp or the burner. I'm not sure what kind of stereo it is, but it has CDR playback on it, it's written on the face of the stereo. I'm not sure what format she uses either. I'll ask her how she's downloading and burning them and get back to ya. Thanks!

yeah there's no reason why a cdr compatible car stereo won't play cdrs. ask your sister if she is coverting the mp3's to wavs before she burns the songs to cdr. she has to convert the songs to wav then burn if it's going to work.

Most software will automatically convert to wav. Just select audio as the format.

hey wassup. OK i know whats going on here.its very simple to fix the problem.

first tell me what program she uses to burn the cds?

i use nero,so this is the method with nero to make it work.

ok,when you go in nero and make an audio cd,go to the BURN tab,and where it says WRITE METHOD, choose TRACK AT ONCE. then burn the cd,and it will play perfectly fine.

OR

if she uses a different program to burn the cd,tell her to check the options of the burning program. there should be an option that lets you choose either

1.Disc at once.... or
2.Track at once

Make sure Track at once is chosen

then burn the cd and voila.

trust me this will work i guarantee
