No matter how much I eat I can't put on weight. It doesnt matter if I eat mcdonalds 3 times a day.

For the last 6 or 7 months roughly, I have been working out 2 too 3 times a week intensely to the point where I can't to do another repetition on the last set.

I have footy training twice a week and play on Saturdays. I eat 4 large meals a day, take protein shakes and creatine tablets most days.

I am fairly slim, started at 76kg and now am 81kg but have been sitting on 81 for a couple of months now, and feel as though I have hit a wall.

Is their something that I am doing wrong? What more can I be doing?
Jeremy you fitness piece of shit give me some advice :)

what height are you?

i presume you are trying to build muscle as opposed to getting fatter? lol

like if you are under 6 foot and not fat then 81 kg is a pretty good weight. im about 5 foot 7 and i weigh about 78 kg.

just looked at the photo on your profile (you sexy bastard). im guessin your over 6 ft. you look in pretty good shape for playing footy in that photo.

its worth noting that some people are hard gainers meaning its very difficult for them to gain weight.

^ I try to gain weight also, but I can eat whatever I want, no real gains. Maybe all the ganja smoking has something to do with it :D

I also smoke too much ganja. I have a wicked eating disorder, though, (hey, why not be candid?) and that keeps off the pounds. I'm not advocating, just stating. It's not something I enjoy. It just, ya know, keeps off the pounds. And I swear the marijuana puts 'em back on.

^^he says he uses creatine.

Creatine speeds up recovery allowing you to work out more often. I dont see the point in wasting your money on it unless you are working out a lot. I work out 3 nights a week. I have never taken creatine.

you shouldnt consume too much protein at once either because your body wont be able to digest it all and make sure you are getting a large amount of it from food.

Make sure your form is correct fot all excercises. If you aren't doing them right then its a waste of time.

make sure you rest properly. its seems to me that you are training and working on nearly every day of the week. ideally you should have a days rest the day after going to the gym.

You are an Ectomorph, simples as.... you can't become arnie because unfortunately, you just dont have the body frame.

Creatine is naturally produced in your body. Your body produces about 2 grams of it per day, but if you load your body with extra creatine, it gets stored in your muscles and gets used up when you're lifting. I workout like 4-5 times a week, but i don't use the creating that's recommended. I only use about 4-5 grams with water through my workout. Then i just drink lots and lots of water. Usually, it's recommended to have about 5g of creatine 3-4 times a day with water.

Eating the right foods is also a good way to increase muscle mass.

Check out Building-Muscle101.com it's a useful website with a lot of info and tips on working out.

how do you know? have you seen the guy?

and besides having a body like Arnie is not gonna do him much good for playing Aussie Rules football (i presume thats the football you mean?).

I'm in the same problem as you.

I've mentioned it before, but Jokerman said it wasn't a good idea.

Anyway, some NFL players needed to gain weight, so the coach told them to have a peanut butter sandwhich (no jelly) and a cup of milk b4 going to sleep. In a month, he gained 5 lbs.

I've gained 5 lbs in a week of doing it...but i can't gain it anymore, so i just stopped it.

You might just be like me sted, as in your metabolism is stupid fast.

For 2 and a half years in my spare time all I did was sit on my ass, eat fast food at least 4 times a week, drink way too much, eat lots of junk food and drink lots of soft drinks. I think i gained maybe 2 or 3 lbs during that whole time.

For the last month and a half two months i've been working out 3 times a week, eating at least 6 times a day (albeit mostly veggies, fruit, and protein) and I haven't gained any weight, /shrug.

Yeah I think my motabolisim is too fast. Which is annoying but better then having a slow one I surpose, and haha no way would I take steriods.. I like my balls the size they are.

Yeah bobby I'm 6 foot 2 and play Ausie rules. Real football lol
I got the creatine of a mate for 10 bucks because he doesn't work out enough, so I thought I mose as well try it. I do feel though I'm not sore for as long, so its helping.
Footy is more of a cardio workout than upper body, allthough their is a little bit involved.. pushups, situps etc.

i think most of those Aussie Rules players are tall but not very bulked up like a rugby player for example. But they are strong as fuck. is that correct?
