So i got a couple of tv out cables for my pc so i can watch shit from my computer on my tv . Im having a problem because everything has been set up , except when i turn the pc on and switch it to the correct channel on the tv , i can only see the windows logo and the loading bar in the booting of the machine , although the screen jumps. As soon as it comes onto the start up screen (i.e log on screen) the tv screen goes blue as if nothing was connected to the tv , with the little svideo logo in the left hand coner. Im thinking its faulty cables , with the exception that it will always display the loading screen for windows , and then completely go off on the log on screen , please heeelp!

screen resolution is at 800 x 600 , should i make it higher , cause its at its lowest . I tried with a shorter cable and brought my computer closer to the tv and that seems to work , except i dont wanna keep the pc by the tv. I thought it could be the signal , but it always shows a picture on the tv (the screen jumps however) , right up until the log on screen , where it completely goes blank
