Technology Problem with burning + driversupdate

I got problems with my audio and dvd burning. It gets very slow during burning what i mean by slow, My computer kind of gets realy frozen It wasnt like this before so i was wondering is it got to do with drivers update or firmware ?

try to defrag your hard drive.over time your computer starts to lag.time for a format and clean install

defrag like mack said, also make sure you dont have shit running in the background

^^^^what they said,and yeah make sure your not runnin alot of programs.that can eat up cpu usage.
