Pride Fighting Championship

Anyone else follow it? It is a mixed martial arts sport much like UFC except it takes place in a large ring instead of a caged octagon like in UFC. Elbows are not allowed because its too easy to cut someone open and end a match like that, but knees to the head on the ground is allowed and so are soccer kicks (kicking someones head when they're on their back/all-fours). Pride is coming to the US in october, and it has some of the best fighters in the world (imo, way better than UFC fighters).

From the last event, an open-weight gran prix where lightweights fought heavyweights. Final four were 3 heavyweights and a middleweight. Pride and UFC are in negotiations for Silva to fight Chuck Liddel, that would be a great fight

Yeah i watched a bit last night - That huge dutch guy Semi Shiltz got a real lesson taught by some Russian dude in the art of mat wrestling . This realy suprised me as Semi is awsome in K1 and was nearly twice his size . I personaly do not like it though as it seems like an up market ultimate fighting rip off - Too much kissing and cuddling on the deck imo , give me a decent boxing match anyday !

I watch Pride, it's dope, probably better then UFC IMO but yea Cro Cop fucked up Silva, haha, can't nobody fuck with his high kicks but still he isn't ready for Fedor.

Fedor is fighting though on 23rd Oct defending his title, can't wait for it but we should do a official UFC/Pride thread.

Silva ain't fighting Chuck no more, Pride just did that to get some promotion & it will be Tito Ortiz who is Chuck's next fighter, can't wait to see Chuck dispose of that faggot AGAIN.

Lidel got beat by Rampage Jackson already did he not? I follow Pride way more though, better fighters and fights.
