Haven't checked out the video...but yeah, I'm taking Intro to Philosophy, as well as Classics of Asian Religion and World Mythologies (which are basically other philosophy classes...the Asian Religion class moreso than Mythology)

They stopped teaching Philosophy at my local college just this year :( Otherwise I would have taken the course.

I couldn't watch the video although I could hear it. Philosophy is a lot to do with language so there is going to be terminology you are going to come across that isn't usually familiar with other subjects. For example there are two types of statements: Analytic and Synthetic - what do they mean? They are just two different terms for explaining two different things in relation to philosophy. Just like in rocket science they going to come out with relevent words relating to that subject. I see is all the time in different industries they get used to using certain words.

I am adding you to my MSN. You should prove useful at some point. :)

I am if you believe that I am.
That's what bothers me. Its like conversations between philosophy teachers go nowhere because everything is in vague language. Seriously, I think these people only created "philosophy" to quench their thirst for arguing with others.

I took it for a class at university, got a distinction for it.. 3 key points to getting a HIGH grade for philosophy

1. smoke lots of weed
2. DO NOT think logically
3. DO NOT use common sense
