Unless something has been updated this morning, then it's not guaranteed that Pennington will be gone for the season. Last night on the Monday Night Countdown, they said he was told by the Jets' team doctor it is a torn rotator cuff, which is of course the same injury he had surgery for in the offseason. However he is going to fly down to Birmingham, Alabama to see Dr. James Andrews, the doctor who did the initial operation. He told the Jets' team doc and Pennington that it may only be the scar tissue from the surgery that is torn and not the actual rotator cuff. If that's the case, there may be hope of him coming back later in the season. If it is the rotator cuff that is torn, then not only is his season over, but most likely his career as well.
