Technology p2p blocking

i had Ares installed at my work's computer. it was good when i could download everything i wanted,but now it seems that they've blocked it. i mean all the time when ares is launched it shows, it's connecting. i know this can't be, because at home Ares works perfectly. anyway if p2p program (ares) is blocked can any other p2p programs work? what could be other good programs download from net with programs that couldn't have been blocked. give suggestions. at least i'll try.

u didn't understand me correctly. i've already mentioned that ares is no longer working at my work's pc and i assume that it's blocked. so how could ares lite work, i think it's the same ares only even with less abilities. anyway haven't tried any other p2p to install, but isn't the whole working and sharing idea of those programs the same. is it possible to block access to whole p2p programs or only separate programs?

I dunno, but if they've blocked all p2ps somehow then I don't see what you're looking for? You can always try mIRC or BitTorrent, or just not download stuff while you're at work.

^^^ so you say that mirc should work? dunno haven't tried it yet.
as i've said i'm not sure if all p2p programs are blocked but if ares is then i suppose all other programs should be aswell too.
