now it has become tough....the smartasses above didnt give an argument, but i feel i can give somewhat of one...

the panthers and the hawks are alike in so many ways...both are teams that are well balanced both offensively and defensively...the panthers at least...

we all saw, me in more depth, what steve smith and foster can do...had foster not gotten injured, i woulda started crying much earlier....but the panthers defense is very good...very underrated as is the hawks defense...but delhomme's also got the experience...he's done this before....nothing new for him...

with the hawks, i see alexander and hasselbeck as the big guys...we havent seen much from darrel jackson, but he had a huge game yesterday.....he's always been like that, so he looks promising...jurevicius, engram, and stevens looks nice too...

but if i had to pick one, i see the panthers ground the hawks.....kinda like the bears game today...alot like todays

then broncs and steelers....wow...these the same colts people wanted to see go 16-0??? they sure as hell didnt play like that kinda team....the steelers brought everything on the poor colts...i dont like how bettis didnt get more carries...he woulda had 3 TDs had they used him more...the defense too was sick...polamalu...love his name, love his game (that was soooo gay)....but he is the biggest part of the steelers defense...what a safety....

then the broncs just did the patriots in the ass.....the running game was amazing too.....when the two teams face each other next week, it should be like looking in a mirror....they're identical teams.....13-10 broncs....shanahan better pull something out his ass...the broncs need to win..

so in the end, i say the super bowl will be panthers-steelers...steelers by a field goal..

panthers broncos

b/c miami beat both of 'em

actually, miami has defeated the winner of the afc since '98, when they beat denver, who went on to beat atlanta in the super bowl.

since then, they beat in the regular season

titans: 99
ravens: 00
patriots: 01
raiders: 02
patriots: 03 (technically they lost in overtime but mare missed two 30 yard field goals, either of which would have won the game)
patriots: 04
broncos: 05 ?

basically, if you want to make it to the superbowl, lose to miami

Seahawks cuz panthers are too one dimensional without a ground option and believe me...football is all about adjustments and the bears were figured out...now, based on homefield advantage I give it to the hawks by 7

Steelers cuz I believe this is gonna be a big game for big ben n' the bus...the broncos will not face a battered up D like they did with the pats and because I think plummer will revert back to his old ways n' fold under pressure

not to be harsh, but anyone who says carolina doesn't have a ground option now doesn't know a damned thing about carolina, and is thus talking out of their ass.

nick goings is sick with it. i hope seattle doesn't expect anything from him, because he'll run all over them if they ignore him.

remember last year when all carolina's running backs went down? nick goings was 6th on the HB depth chart. he was actually a second string fullback. here's what he did:

- started just 8 games
- ran for 821 yards
- scored 6 touchdown
- longest TD being a 57 yard run
- 5 100-yard games

nick goings is not ladanian tomlinson, but do not say that carolina will not have a running game.

Hmmm, this is gonna be tough lol.

Carolina vs. Seattle: This will be a close one. Barring any more 1st quarter concussions, Alexander should be bringing his A game. Carolina handled the ever feared Chicago D pretty well, so I don't think Seattle is gonna be able to stop the Panthers if they get going. If Seattle can take an early lead and keep it the should pull this one off - Seattle wins by 3 or more

Steelers vs. Broncos: Well after surprising almost everyone and pulling out a win over the Colts, the Steelers look almost unstoppable. Almost. If they do what they do best, which is pound the ball on the ground on offense, and put major heat on Jake Plummer on defense, this should be an easy Steelers victory - Steelers by 7 or more

no doubt, the panthers have had alotta running depth this year....stephen davis before he hit his little slump, goings, foster....all of em really good...so whoever said deesnt know what he's talking about...

i was watching the bears game yesterday when foster got knocked out...is he ok?? will he play this week?
He's out. He has a broken fibula and has to have surgery but he's putting it off so that he can accompany his team to the NFC Championship game.
