Natasha Demkina - The Girl With X-Ray Eyes

#1
There was a show on tonight about Natasha Demkina, the 17 year-old Russian who claims she can see into the human body to identify medical conditions. I remember seeing her on GMTV (a daytime television program) a while back and being amazed.

She was tested on this program by members of CSICOP and failed the more formal, scientific test. She had a list of six medical conditions and had to match them to seven "patients", one of whom was fine. She correctly diagnosed four, but missed the most obvious; a man with a metal plate in his head. Five out of seven was the predetermined level at which further investigation would be undertaken.

Having seen Derren Brown fake it, I'd pass her off as a fraud. If, that is, she wasn't a 17 year-old girl who looks like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth. Maybe she's a fraudster, maybe her mother is using her as a way to make money, maybe she genuinely believes she has an ability. Maybe she does have an ability.

Anyone else familiar with her? Anyone else see the program?

I have no idea who she is, but from reading what you wrote, that the one she got wrong was the guy with the metal plate, maybe she's people's auras. So shed be able to see someone who's sick, like she doesn't see inside the person's body, instead she just sees the energy around them.

Nah, she claimed she could actually see into the bodies...."at a cellular level." I think 4 out of 7 isn't too bad. Funny about missing the metal plate in the head though, lol!

I've heard of her.

She's been on This Morning (required morning viewing lol) quite a few times.

Naturally, they test her every time she's on the show & her success rate at identifying people's ailments range from not bad to pretty good.

The thing is, This Morning bring in people who have had previous injuries that have left permanent damage (be it a metal plate or a severe injury) & also those who have been diagnosed with having this or that wrong with them but are yet to have it corrected.

Her biggest achievement, IMO, was once when she looked at one of these people that This Morning had brought in, & not only said that the dude had *insert ailment that the dude's doctor was already aware of* but she told him that he had a tumour in his neck or something which was news to the dude & his doctor. Well, after tests they found out that the dude did in fact have a tumour where she said it was & this impressed me because it eliminated the chance of cheating or the chance of her reading the dude's body language.

Liked I said, she fared inconsistantly most of the time although better than what someone would do if they were guessing randomly.

The bad thing was though, because the girl needed a translator, you couldn't be sure if the translator was always saying exactly what she said because he sometimes looked at her like 'wtf?' & I wonder if he was sometimes hesitant to say what she had told him.

Anyways, although I was duly impressed, I am still pessimistic about the girl's abilities.

Like Illuminattile says, others - namely Derren Brown - have showed there are loopholes in this kind of thing.

Btw, Illuminattile, did you watch the Channel 4 program about her?

Just incase you want to discuss it, I didn't so don't ask me questions about it.

She'd identified metal screws and things of that nature in people before.

Yeah, I watched the program. It was interesting.

Four out of seven sounds better than it is. She picked the youngest guy as the healthiest and was correct, and I noticed that she picked the guy with a hat as the one with the metal plate in his head (he took his hat off for the diagnosis) and was incorrect. If I'd been asked to make educated guesses, I probably would have made the same.

Exactly sounds like one of the Indigo children or someone with a Crystal Aura that can see others Auras'
