Well, due to some circumstances that I'd like to keep to myself, I managed to break my nano's fragile screen. Now, the screen doesn't work, but the nano still functions properly, such as that it's still able to play music. So, what can I do about this? My homie tells me that if the ipod is broken on the outside, the warranty is void. That sucks. I assume Apple wouldn't exchange it? lol

You may still have a chance if you make them feel like it wasn't your fault that the screen broke. Some Ipod Nano's got recalled because of really fragile screens, so they might give you a refund.

Well, I kinda realized I'd have to put up a front. Either give them the really sad look, or go Black on them.

There were problems with Nano screens, and they recalled them. If it's the same problem, you might be able to get a replacement.
Well, the lcd is broken, but it seems like it's broken from the inside, because if you run your finger across it, it's completely smooth. You cant like, feel the "broken" surface. I'll call up Apple now and see how it goes.

you would have to open up the nano's and swap the screens- obviously the housing units have serial numbers- however if you bought a new machine and return the next day and say the screen broke already they would give you a refund and send the old machine back as faulty

So, I requested service and they sent me a box, and I put the iPod in, and bla bla...I got the replacement iPod in the mail yesterday. The problem is, in one of the emails they sent me, they said it might not be covered under the warranty, so I might be getting a bill for the service they did....That's a bitch.
