^^what are you talking about? My comments were not aimed at your pretentious ass neither were they advice to 'mis-guided souls'. They were a summary of the short piece posted by yourself, albeit very brief. And may also be taken as a few of my thoughts. Exactly why have you jumped on the defensive so hard? You clearly are being vain in this pathetic attempt for recognition. Who wrote it? Are we supposed to discuss it? Why have you jumped on the defensive and resorted to patronising when i do try and post my thoughts on it? This is a message board......

Also, if you can't help but use language for misuse, once you have an adequate grasp of it, then that speaks volumes about your corrupt charachter. And people like that, i do not travel with. As your friendship is the only thing that would be a chattel of deception.

While it's true that television, books, the internet, music and other media are a way to communicate without actually having to talk to someone, and that face-to-face communication is far richer, these media afford us opportunities which we wouldn't have were we confined to one-on-one interaction. These media are necessary for widespread communication. Whereas an animal on one continent has no need to communicate with one on another, we as an advanced species live in a global community. The internet, television and print media let me know what's happening on the other side of the globe. Instant messaging, email, chat rooms and message boards let me talk to people from different backgrounds and cultures. The internet, in some respects, promotes tolerance. It can be a great equaliser, giving everyone a level playing field. The internet grew from the the need to share information between small networks, and that is its great contribution to society.

Leave my ass alone, lol.

Do you know how long I spent on that piece!

Friendship is a mindset term used to manipulate relationships imo.

I love language, your correspondence is appreciated.

Communication is the quintessential contributor to every relationship. Also from my experience and knowledge is something that is evolving more rapidly in modern times trhough advancements in technology. Namely your ADSL/ISDN/56kbps dial up - internet connection.

I work for the leading supplier of telecommunications in my country, something Ofcom would argue. This has brought me to recognize how vast a subject it is. You could fill a big book explaining all of its mediums, ranging from a Chameleons colour changes to a mystical method of telepathy -somewhat unexplained.

Our lives are complicated in comparison to the raw reality of animals in the wild, and how they go about life. Animals use instinct and experience, while we have: books, TV, radio, music, mobile phones, internet and more. We are all living creatures yet our intellect wedges a divide between two beings subject to the same situation.

One-to-one interaction is becoming increasingly difficult in todays society, especially with a generation of children that were taught not to talk to strangers! Something like that can have a serious psychological effect on a developing mind. Nowadays we have something between us, something artificial which conveys information and acts like a filter distorting the experience and basic fundamentals of conversation. However this is a God-send for people who experience difficulties in communication.

George Orwell's 1984 is a perfect example of how communication is difficult between humans. Not in a controlling sense but in a concept of how it is impossible to convey true meanings between just two people. Words are disregarded and body language is something which people study to use to their advantage. We are at war with each other (psychologically) but most people don't admit it because they are trying to portray an image, with aims of deciet.

I wonder is all this just coincidence or is the introduction of the internet a phenomenal result of the complications we have imposed upon ourselves?
I see what you mean. ps. I love this book.
