R.I.P. to another good big man. He may have pissed off a lot of ECW fans, but he put on some great matches over the years.

i still remember that night he showed up on Nitro as ECW champion. he had crutches an wound up hitting Nash in the back of the head.

Well, he was found hanging. Probably suicide, but you never know.

Obviously this is hard to report, but according to someone close to Mike Awesome, Mike Awesome's untimely passing is the result of a suicide. According to a friend of Awesome, Awesome was suffering from diabetes and had lost alot of weight. While this is all speculation now, it looks like the disease caused depression, hence Mike taking his own life.

We'll try to get more on this unfortunate death soon.

Mike Awesome is the third person from the original ECW to pass away this year. In January, both Bam Bam Bigelow & Doug Gentry aka The NJ Devil passed away.
