Antoine Walker, one of the NBA's top remaining uncommitted free agents, has emerged on the Heat's radar. According to sources familiar with the Heat's approach, the team plans to discuss a role with the 6-foot-9 forward, perhaps today.

Depending on which Walker they sign, this could be good or bad. Are they signing the Walker who will play low, bang a little bit, and take good shot? Or are they signing the one who demands control of the ball and will take any three he deems makeable, which is everyone? I had been a Celtics fans 'til Charlotte got their team, so I know what he's capable of, and I don't mean that in a good way. It didn't hurt Boston as much because they never had a premier point like Wade, but if Walker takes the ball out of his hands, it's going to be nothing but detrimental to Miami. Walker needs to know that he's not Magic Johnson and Wade is the point. If he can do that and keep his ego in check, then Miami would be a force to be reckon with.

I think miami has it under control lol

yeah walker is either going to be a hit or miss but i really think there going to tell him this is what you need to do can you do it for us? when miami is this close to a championship i think there too smart to let someone come in and disrupt the whole team chemistry.. he needs to kno hes not going to be the 'go to guy' hell be playing 3rd or 4th fiddle if he can handle that then they should sign em walker can bring alot of intensity and hard work to the table when he wants to, and lets hope he wants too

walkers point production will be down but he can still bring you 15-8 a game

i was hoping the knicks would get him but were capped out (or should i say crapped out)

^ No doubt Bank. The problem is not what he'll give you, it's what he'll take away. What will his shooting percentage be? What will his three point percentage be? How will Wade's peroformance be affected?
