Mets and Dodgers this year's surprises?

i dunno, i thought the same way about the mariners last year, but i guess they still needed some pitching, but this year, i got the dodgers to win the NL west...and while the mets wont win the division this year, i could be wrong though, i think they'll make a much stronger push towards winning the wild card....

dodgers just got baez, who's all ready a closer, to go along with eric gagne, quite possibly the best, behind rivera...then they signed all the big names; nomarand furcal....

i dunno, but i dont think the giants can keep up with the dodgers....bonds might make a difference, but how much?

^ you wanna give an explanation, or just sound ignorant???

i think that NL West division is gonna be between the dodgers and the giants, but like i said before, how far can bonds take them??? the giants didnt do a whole lot this off season...what pitching do they have save for schmidt? their OF is old, they lost snow....i dunno...i stick with the dodgers as the better overall team

Dont sleep on the Diamondbacks. I think they will give the Dodgers and Giants trouble. But when its all said and done, the Dodgers will be NL Champions.

With the lost of Vazquez and Glaus? And the addition of Estrada and Hudson sorry I don't think so.

The Dodgers' pitching roster is pretty close to bulletproof, as long as Gagne stays healthy. While that's a big IF, with Lowe, Penny, Perez, and Tomko up front, and with Carter & Baez (from TB) to set up Brazoban SHOULD Gagne get injured, that's a solid squad who FINALLY realized that Jeff Weaver is never going to be a great pitcher, and subsequently dealt his ass.

As far as the other positions go, the Dodgers are still hurting after DePodesta traded Lo Duca, but with Sandy Alomar backing up Navarro, the catcher spot is pretty well held. The infield is STRAIGHT, with Choi, Furcal, Nomar, Kent, Izturis, and Bill Mueller to choose from. The outfield FINALLY rid of that cancer Milton Bradley, is solid with Jose Cruz, Lofton, Werth, and JD Drew (IF he stays healthy). In fact, should Jason Werth stay (rumor has it he's on his way out), the only move this new GM has made that I disagree with, was bringing "Glady Lillle", or Grady Little (I swear, that man speaks like he has no tongue!) to manage.

Yes, they'll win the NL West.
