Technology MD players

remember those? I wanna get one. Are they any good? Are they still around? How many tracks can one of those little diskettes hold? How do you load shit on them?

I like CD players, i have one of those super thin ones from Panasonic, theyre dope, but i feel like switching over to something else. Im not getting an MP3 player cause i just dont like them that much. Id get an iPod, but i dont have $350 to blow away and im not getting the Nano cause that shits too small. Pros/Cons?

each mini disk holds like 12-13 songs i think, i've only used it once. You load songs by hooking it up to your comp and letting the player burn music onto those disks. They took them off the market i think since it sold so horrible (also UMDs for the psp are off the market now). Mp3 player > MD player

I thought it was like 50 - 60 songs per mini disc? I might be wrong though, but I do remember a friend of mine telling me about it...

The MD storage capacity range from 80 mins to over 2000 mins. Of course you'll need to get the compatible player if you want to use the 1GB MD's. It was a good format while I used it but MD is done. I don't know why they keep marketing it.

You make an interesting comment. You'd buy an iPod but you don't like MP3 players? There are good MP3 players out there.

Side note: I'm pre-ordering the Meizu M6. It's pretty close to what I was looking for and the price is fair. M6 will do until Apple decides to release a PMP with a 16x9 screen

if i was forced to buy an MP3 player, then id go with an iPod and nothing else. But i prefer CD players or MD players for the moment. I might actually get one. 2000 minutes is good i guess. Vaude, you probably didnt have the compression thing on yours? Older model or soemthing?

whats a PMP?

^ Portable Media Players.

It's the next thing. Instead of having a gadget just for audio, you get a video/audio player. And the step after that is combining all of those things into mobile phones, because people carry phones around anyway. I think the Asian market is starting to see some of these media phones but it'll take 10 years to get over here to the western side.

man, iPod!!! once you get it you'd be thinking how your life was ever worth anything without it. Everytime I see people in their cars they just keep switching cds risking their life, and their car is a record store. with the iPod you hook it up and have all your shit there and you're done, plus more space in your car to put other shit.

P.S The software comparisson! no contest: iTunes > MD software
