Mayweather...Fighting Again This Year?

#1
Anybody hopeful Mayweather will choose an opponent for a December bout? Personally, I can't wait for his next fight considering he has said repeatedly that he only has a few more fights left in him. I'm thinking if Pacquiao doesn't choose to fight Bradley for the rematch then Mayweather may choose Bradley. Of course it would be better if Pacquiao takes the rematch and beats Bradley which would set him up for the ultimate payday and boxing showdown: Mayweather vs. Pacquiao. If this goes down though Mayweather will have to fight another subpar fighter (no disrespect to Cotto...I give him a lot of credit for giving Mayweather a scare with those three round wins / the bloody nose).

Anyways, just my random thoughts on the subject.

As much as i'd like to see the Pacquiao v Mayweather fight (if it does happen), it won't be the same fight we wanted 3 years ago. At the time I was confident that Pacquiao would take him and could even knock him out, but after seeing him against Marquez I wasn't so sure.

He dominated against Bradley and sholuld've KO'd him but didn't... Will be interesting to see how things develop,

There was talk of Amir Khan facing Mayweather at the end of the year or next year, but his losses to Peterson and more recently Garcia have set that idea back as Khan has to redeem himself before he can even step up to Mayweather's level. On another note, Mayweather will be looking to retire undefeated so there may not be many fights left.

Floyd is running out of credible people to fight. Plenty good fighter's he can fight but not many or any with a realistic chance of winning.

Khan has no chance anymore he blew it. You got to love watching Khan fight though, his fights are excellant. I would switch trainer's if i was him. I would go with Emanuel steward myself. Time for a fresh start.
