Mario Williams...Texans select!!

I just saw it on ESPNEWS that they've reached an agreement on a deal. Now unless the Texans do draft Williams then trade him and get whomever drafted Reggie Bush tomorrow. They'll regret not drafting Bush for the next 10 years.

No they wont. Eithe one of them is a great sign, both gonna be great threats on either side of the ball, Texans just chose defense.

^^^name me 5 players off the texans defense.

I can name you 5 off the Texans offense: David Carr, Domanick Davis, Andre Johnson, Eric Moulds, Mike Flanagan.

Bush can run, catch, and return punts or kickoffs. This dude can rape your defense. I guarantee if injuries and legal problems do not occur whichever team (probably the Saints) sign Bush they will win a superbowl before the Texans do. Guaranteed. The Texans is a 4 year old franchise who are still up and coming and your best chance to win 8 games this year went out the window.

They dont have a defense, so why not sign Mario Williams. Davis averaged over 4 yards a carry last year. From the looks of this draft they will probably work on their defense and their offensive line, there weak points.

The Texans are 4 years old, and we all know Football is the biggest team sport their is. Reggie Bush is not gonna win a Super Bowl by himself. They are getting key components to a potent team and they are doing a great job.

By the way, Lendale White will win a Super Bowl before Bush does.

True but the Texans didn't sign or bring anyone in to complement the defense this offseason. Instead they went with the offense traded for Eric moulds and picked up the rest of Carr's contract, so it looked as though they were going to get Bush and personally that's they way they should have gone. Plus this also has to do with business and selling tickets. If they had Bush they would sell tickets and jerseys, people would pay to see Bush score 2 or 3 TD's a game. It's going to be a hard sell for a DE. Also If Lendale White is drafted by the Steelers, Colts or Jaguars yes he will.

The Texans need both offense and defense but I just read what the guy from the Texans said nad he puts it perfect. He said he wants to build a cahmpionship defense and they have Peyton Manning in there division and they wont be able to outscore them so try to stop them or something like that. I'm sure it's not the most popular decision but Mario Williams is a great pick and if Reggie Bush wasn't in the picture this pick would of been perfect.

i like the move, football-wise for the texans

they already have a good, young starter in rb dominick davis, a pro bowl kick/punt returner in jerome mathis, and many weapons in the passing game like pro bowl receivers eric moulds and andre johnson, and tight end jeb putzier. their defense sucked last year, so why not take the best defensive player? it may not be the sexiest pick, but it was the most logical.
