Technology Makaveli Dual Disc Audio Trouble

#1
I bought the Makaveli Dual disc today and can't play it on my computer. I get the video's & the main menu but no sound. I am currently using Windows Media Player 10 (just reinstalled it). I took the CD to a friends house and it works fine. I've tried windows help & search yahoo on the subject with no luck so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance
Tyson

open up the computer and connect the dvd rom drive with an analog cable to the soundcard's S/PDIF connector because the drive is set to hardware decoding.

There should be an option in the software to use software decoding ,do this if you don't want to use the cable method. The quality isn't as good as hardware decoding though

Im gona assume you've got bigger things to worrry bout than the legality of the KAzzaa Codec Pack. I certainly have.

I got another problem with the MAKAVELI dualdisc: i tried to rip (hope you understand this, is this an English word?: I ried to extract the tracks of the cd to mp3) my cd/dvd to play the song on my mp3player. I used the program "Exact Audio Copy V0.95 beta 3". The result is this: it created mp3's of 50mb. Anyone got an idea to rip the cd and get mp3's of 7mb or something like that? (a program?)
Thank you!!!

in the settings somewhere, there should be an option for encoding quality. It's probably set to the highest. You can change it and make the quality 192kbps or 128kbps for smaller sized mp3s.

wmp, yes, v.9.00.00.2980.

there are two options, hardware decoding and software decoding. it's set to software but i can't change it because both options are grayed out.

oh, that means your video card doesnt support hardware decoding.Certain cards can, certain can't.Theres also dvd decoding cards you can get. I wouldn't worry too much if it's set to software,it's still pretty good,it just uses your CPU to do the deconding. If you had a hardware decoder card,it has its own CPU in the card that does all the work, that's why it's smoother, better quality and more reliable.

ok try this,in windows media player, go to tools>options>devices

then you will see your dvd player in the list, click it,then go to properties, you will see it will say PLAYBACK.You have 2 choices, analog or Digital. If it's on Digital, choose analog ,if it';s analog put it on digital.Go to ok,then try playing your dvd again, let me know if it works
