Im trying to lose a bit of weight.I am currently 11 and a half stone and i want to bring my weight down to 11 or a little below. Its my stomach where i need to knock off a bit of weight.Whats a good way of knocking fat of your stomach?

Im also trying to eat less foods like Pizzas or takeaways but when im in college for a long day,i have no choice but to get a pizza or fast food to eat.I cant really afford to get a proper lunch in this city. All the restaurants where i can get a proper lunch are too expensive so the only option is to eat fast food.

Is it ok to eat a pizza or fast food twice a week. Will this have much effect on me gaining weight?

Instead of drinking soda or juice, try to JUST drink water. Of course you can splurge once inawhile.. It kinda sucks if your not a water-drinker like I was, but you get used to it after a week.. I substituted a salad like once every 2 days for dinner too. Not sure if they have it in Ireland, but here a couple fast food places have a small salad on the dollar menu. Get 2 or 3 of those and just use alittle dressing (its really fuckin fatty) and you should be ok!

Also exercise is always good of course. If your just tryin to lose a couple pounds off your stomach, do some running and crunches. When I started I would run a mile every other day for a week just to get back into it, and do crunches on the days I didnt run. About 15 minutes worth. After a 2 weeks try for a mile and a half or 2 miles.

LOL at weighing yourself like a sack of potatoes.

Sorry, I had to be a yank.

Well, it's never OK to eat fast food. However, if you must, then as least as possible. The key is EXERCISE, EXERCISE, EXERCISE! HIT THE TRACKMASTER SON

i always have been told lay off the Pepsi and Coke. an just drink water. Pop does add on the pounds. if you can drink just water in a matter of a month or two you can lose 15 pounds.

like everyone else said you have to exercise. go jog. lift weights or do crunches. make sure you eat your share of fruit too.

you can have Fast Food just reward yourself once or twice a month. if you work hard and exercise, you can reward yourself.

myself im due to lose at least 25 pounds. so i can be at my ideal weight. im 6'2 245 lbs.

no fried foods
no candy, chips and carbonated sodas
Don't drink juice but if you must, drink fresh juice but also just eat the fruits first because this way you get the fibers.
fast food should be completely cut off

Walk 30 minutes a day, and choose a sport like swimming, basketball , hold my boyfriend's balls, whatever tickles your belly.

Whatever you do, don't start eating less food because as soon as you change your meal plans and reduce how much you normally eat you will lose weight (which is what you want) but as soon you start your old eating habbits you will start gaining weight again. Eat whatever you normally do but eat but less portions of it and gradually change that to more healthier eating..

Flat stomach/abs = DOING CRUNCHES. - This is what I do everyday. I do 50 (4 sets) and take exactly a 45seconds - 1 minute rest time in between. You do it once a day and it will help you get the results you want on your stomach.

Also, if you want a more ripped body, start lifting weights, not too light not too heavy, but just the right amount..

Drink lots of water and juice and not alot of pop...

hey listen, i take a health and sports course in college.

whatever you do, DO NOT starve yourself. because then ur body will eat away the muscle (proteins), because their wont be any fat (from the foods) to use up for energy.
Therefore as a result of the protein being used up, u may become weaker physically and mentally and also you wont have got anything good from it.

SO DONT STARVE YOURSELF!
have a balanced diet. Which means, have some fats, proteins, fibres, vitamins, water, carbohydrates.

look at the amount of calories you eat. when you dont use up calories, it turns into fat and deposits in ur body, under the skin.

do exercise, walking is good. go for a walk around the block.
i dnt mean to sound mean, but how fat/big are you? if you are quite or very big. dont run, becuase it strains your heart.

do moderate exercise in conjunction with a BALANCED DIET (remember, this doesnt mean starving yourself)

also, saturated fats are bad for you.
monounsaturated, is ok.
and polyunsaturated fats are really good for you.
(CUT DOWN ON SATURATED FATS)

remember eating fat is not a bad thing, ur body needs it.

dont have too many sugary things as the sugar contains many calories.

ideas for good foods at home, if not at college.

salads, pizza (healthy toppings like, peppers, sweetcorn, broccoli, mushrooms, onions etc...) pasta, jacket potato, roast potato, chicken (not KFC or fast food 1s, make it at home yourself, wash it out).

you get the idea rite?

if you have any fursther questions. dnt hesistate to ask.

yes, eat fruits and veg. have your portions of 5 fruits and veg a day. that is important.

dont lift weights until you have lost some weight. because when you weigh yourself on the scale, you will have gained more weight, and then you wont get an accurate answer of how much you did lose in weight.

only start building up muscles after youve lost some weight as in fat.

and drink water. around 2-3 litres a day. most of your body weight is water, but you need to maintain the weight the water has in ur body to stop you from dehydrating. so keep drinking the water. it will help you along the way.

you will lose some water, and you will gain some by drinking it.

dont use weights before you achieve you targets.

and when you achieve your targets, reward yourself. because it will increase your self esteem, confidence, morale and motivation to succeed.

make sure your targets are SMART.

Specific
Measureable
Achieveable
Realistic
Time Related

draw up and chart or table to show how and when you have achieved your goals.

hope this helps.

^^I wouldnt be considered overweight or anything.I look fairly slim but i do have some excess weight on my stomach.I pretty well built but i want to try and knock of a bout half a stone and get to a level of fitness where i dont tire in matches.Last year i was a fucking disaster fitness wise and was tiring about a half an hour into games.Sometimes my breathing is a problem as well.I can get very caught up and wheezy some days when im running.

The only fast food i eat now is a bacon and cheese pizza every week.I dont eat at McDonalds or Burger King.I am addicted to Coke,so i cant see myself giving up that completely.I also eat a bag of crisps or pop corn most days.

Thanks for the advice.

what you can do is cut down. do some cardiovascular training to increas ur cardiovascular endurance. (this means, do some training to increase the efficiency of your heart). you can do tests. treadmill is good. set urself targets and try to achieve them. test ur pulse and heart rates too.
do alot of running. do around 5 miles a day, if you can, opr whatever suits you best. and then try to increase the instensity so it makes you work.

Overload can help, but dont do it straight away because your body wont be able to physically cope.
