OOOHH, if Angle joins TNA, Vince would shit his pants.

that would work out great for Kurt, the easy schedule. he could wrestle an rest his neck.

i can imagine the contract, Angle will hold the belt for quite a while. him and his agent probably told Jarrett to throw it in there.

Angle signs, then maybe Goldberg will follow. Bill has said he wanted to wrestle Angle, but never got to. Angle v Sting would be a classic match.

i could see Kurt signing just to piss Vince off. i hope he does it.

He is joining...

“Being with TNA feels like I found my home,” Kurt Angle commented. “TNA will be the most watched show on cable TV – it’s just a matter of time. Thank you TNA for saving my career, my life and my desire to do what I love.”

Yup. The contract is singed, hes in TNA.

All the MMA talk about him joining was created by TNA to swerve people into thinking he could be the big surprise.

Also, TNA goes prime-time in Nov!

That's crazy, I just hope Angle doesn't overdo it and seriously hurt himself. Still, TNA has just grabbed one of the biggest and best talents in the world. He's the perfect wrestler; he can wrestle, he can talk, he can draw...

I really, REALLY hope TNA takes off with this new timeslot and some big-name wrestlers.

Angle vs. Joe is like the internet's wet dream.

You say that like it's a good thing...hopefully it will be, but I don't have a lot of confidence in Russo.

well you got to remember that russo was the genius behind alot of the attitude era stuff. he might have fucked up in wcw but he was executively making the decisions there, unlike in wwe where everything had to be approved. I'm certain something like Don West winning the title isnt gonna happen.

^Vince fired him.

Vince was basically looking out for him as Angle was heading for a wheelchair or an early grave.

Angle then went to TNA.

Well I just hope they haven't given him too much power, because that's why he fucked up in WCW. He needs someone a little more grounded in reality to slap him when he comes up with something retarded.

But, if he can produces the kind of gold he has in the past then it could be good for TNA.

i don't think vince fired him because he was looking out for him. i think he fired him because he didn't want to be liable if anything happened to angle.

comments from kurt angle about joining TNA

Kurt Angle said:
“Being with TNA feels like I have finally found my home. I had fun in WWE at certain times, but I was never really happy. Now being a part of TNA, I know I have a purpose. I feel like I am part of history, part of a company that is not only on the rise – not only going to be the number-one watched wrestling show in the world within a short period of time – but TNA gives me an opportunity to spread my wings. This company has no limits to where it can go. The sky is the limit and the main reason is because they brought the “real” back into wrestling and that is a perfect fit for the greatest wrestler in USA Olympic history. I have room to grow here and to help TNA grow. Working for these caring and very giving employers of TNA makes me feel like I have a purpose and that the sky is the limit. I don’t feel trapped or held back like I did the first six years in my tenure with the other company. They held me back. Now, our wonderful audience will see the real Kurt Angle doing what I love to do – real wrestling – and that’s what puts a smile on my face each time I come to work. I even smile when I think about it. TNA will be the most watched television show on cable television. It’s only a matter of time. Now, I get the opportunity and privilege of being a part of it. Thank you TNA for saving my career, my life and my desire to do what I love. I will be here in some capacity for the rest of my life. That’s real…that’s damn real.”

Well not really disloyal, but its weird how after so many years in WWE he comes out and says "i feel at home in TNA" and that he was never really happy in WWE.

I don't see that as the case as if he wasn't happy he wouldn't be pushing himself to the level that he was.

The thing is, most of the time angle was in WWE,there was no where else to go to work. Of course, he had to bust his ass off, or else how would he eat?

I personally don't think angle was happy in WWE. For example, what has he done in the past year or so? He held the title for a few months when batista got hurt, then lost it to rey mysterio. He was also jobbing almost every PPV. After that, they shipped him over to ECW where he was not happy. You've heard the reports on how he was pissed with that move. On top of all that, they fire him. He has every right to go work for another company. And if you work for a company wouldn't you say that that company is the best out in public? And why would you praise your competition? Really, what would you expect him to say?

Plus,I think angle is really happy he went to TNA because of the work schedule. He would only be working about twice a week and there isn't that hectic travel schedule. That will give him alot of resting time.

I heard he wasn't happy in ECW, but i later heard he liked the idea but knew that he was off to Smackdown soon.

Vince fired him because Angle wouldn't go to rehab, as WWE Officials thought he was addicted to painkillers. Angle refused, meaning Vince had no alternative but to fire him. (Vince Suspended him before, didnt work).

I'm not a big fan of Vince but it does seem like he was looking out for Angles health, the MMA also were checking out his health. Hopefully TNA do the same. As I've said it before Angle will die or be serioulsy hurt if he keeps pushing himself the way he is, and joining TNA where they have less restrictions on wrestling moves, is it the best idea?
