Kobe singlehandedly overshadowed both the AFC & NFC Championship games, AND the highest combined NBA single game point total in 11 years (Seattle over Phoenix). This game (while against the Raptors, I'll admit they're not the Pistons), was Kobe's cementing as one of the greatest Laker players of all time.
His breaking of Elgin Baylor's record of 71 points as a Laker held very special for my dad, that's for sure. He was/is Elgin's biggest supporter still, and he called me up just screaming, "Kobe broke Elgin's record!".
55 2nd-half points, 28 in the fourth, and remember, the Lakers were down 16 in the 3rd quarter.
