The outrage! But of course getting drunk isn't a problem...
Exactly...and drunk driving is even more acceptable.
I know I'm gonna get heat for this, because it's "bad for business", but if I were the Nuggets' GM or owner or whoever is in charge of executive decisions, Melo would be sitting throughout the playoffs (actually not even on the roster) and I would have to do some serious thinking before having him return next year.
Now, a lot of you know my stance on drinking, but that's irrelevant here. If you wanna put that shit in your own body, that's your decision. But if you're gonna put others' lives at risks because that decision and stupid decisions that may follow, that's not acceptable at all.
Some people may argue that Melo deserves to make a living like anyone else. True that. But seeing that basketball is his livelihood, that should be taken away from him as he could have taken the livelihood (if not the life) of someone else.
I have absolutely NO respect for someone who gets behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol or any other mind altering drug. I don't respect my wife's coworker, I don't respect JJ Redick anymore, I don't respect Danielle Fischel (Topenga on Boy Meets World) anymore, and I don't respect Carmelo Anthony.
Well, there's my rant. Bye, now.
