Jim Ross Returns To The WWE

Announcer Ross back in WWE

As first announced by Vince McMahon last week on "Raw,'' Jim Ross has returned to WWE and will be used for special matches and special occasions, such as pay-per-views.

The way Ross left WWE -- and the way the company and, more specifically, the McMahon family abused him after his departure -- was just wrong on every level and needed to be fixed.

In a recent interview, Ross said he wasn't really interested in a full-time return to the announcing table, so coming in for big events works for him and will give the fans a sense that something exciting is happening.

AROUND THE RING: Spike TV has made some changes to its prime-time lineup, and the big loser is TNA. Spike has taken "Impact'' out of the 8 p.m. Thursday slot and moved it back to 11 p.m. Not good news for TNA, which was banking on the prime-time location to secure more sponsors. ... During an interview on the Howard Stern show last week, Hulk Hogan said it is likely he will be in the ring during WrestleMania 22.

I was happy to hear JR last night on tha Saturday night show. I am not happy to hear that he won't be coming back full time .

Agree with you on that. Vince wants to go young with his Announce team. Lawler is great, I like Joey Styles, BUT Coach His ass Needs to go. Let him work backstage like what Pat Patterson does. let him come up with ideas for wrestlers to finish their matches.

We'll get to see JR at WM 22 and other PPV's.

Hogan'll probably do what he did last year. He'll brawl with some heel, toss him out of the ring and pose for 15 minutes. As far as who the heels should be...I'd go with MNM. Their celebrity gimmick could link in with "Hollywood" Hogan. I don't really want to see MNM get squashed by Hogan, though. I suppose he could give Daivari another beating.

In fact, what I would do is have Hogan come out to even the odds in McMahon vs. Michaels, maybe chasing Shane to the back, playing up the Hogan/HBK thing they did last year.

Not good news for WWE...

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event bombed in the ratings last night, doing just a 3.2 fast national rating. The show led NBC to a dead last finish for the night. WWE and NBC were hoping for a rating in the 5.0 range. 3.2 is just slightly better than what WWE Smackdown does weekly.

The low rating makes it very unlikely that NBC will put the next Saturday Night's Main Event in prime time.

The whole event didnt suck, it was decent. Cena getting booed and the "cena suck" chants will get worse if they trying to force Cena on the fans.
