Is there a limit to the amount of times a woman can have abortion?

I dunno.

I used to work in a doctors surgery part-time when I was a student. And one girl there had 6 abortions. They told her she shouldn't have any more.

im not sure but i think there would be a limit to the number of abortions for one reason. this is the method of abortions. thing is at different stages of pregnancy the method of abortion is different. the limit of time after which abortion is not allowed is between 20 and 24 weeks (approx) something like that. different countries i think have different regulations.

i know for a fact one of the methods is 'drug induced abortion'. they feed the girl a cocktail of drugs and this 'kills' the baby and the delivery is sped up and a dead 'baby' is delivered. EVERY drug has a side effect, even paracetomol, so looking at it this way, the cocktail of drugs to induce abortions must have some heavy side affects.
another method is . well i've heard of 'vaccum method' , sucking the 'baby' out, i cant see what the problem could be with this. or then there's the one where they 'fish' the baby out from the inside. this could maybe cause somekind of complications as it may be a risky method, you may end up damaging fragile parts inside.

all in all, im not sure. but a lot may depend on how far the pregnancy is gone and therefore what method is used for abortion

Isn't there a link between abortions & ferility?

Obviously, if everything goes perfectly there should not be any damage, but I always thought having an abortion came with a decent chance of reduced fertility & as such, multiple abortions may render a woman infertile.

I could be wrong & if so, forgive me ken....

the drug method will definately give you some side affects, fuck knows what though. The only thing that could link abortion and infertility is probably infections. say if the instruments used were infected and unsterilised equipment is used, but that could lead to death as well as infertility.

apart from that, don't really see anything else. but speak to a doctor man, it's a serious issue

Yeah if you don't take the drugs you're given afterwards correctly. I think so anyways. (Happened on Eastenders lol, that's why Sharon can't have kids)

^the womans life is in danger, the only way to save her is if she has an abortion, but Tha Wild and Cardella would not allow her an abortion as she would 'rot in hell' if she did so

YOU have blood on your hands

Killing is killing. What part of that do you not understand? And abortion is a form of baby killing. For you to justify abortion, you will also have blood on your hands. Besides, what percentage of abortion cases involve such a situation that you mentioned? Less then 1/100th of a percent?

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion#Postabortion_physical_issues

Postabortion physical issues

  • The exact risk and type of complications depend on the abortion method as well as the clinical and hygienic conditions. Studies found that in developed countries where abortion is legal the risk of serious physical complications of an abortion is less than 1%. In countries where abortion is illegal, this percentage is much higher, although the exact figure is unknown. This is due to the inherently dangerous nature of unregulated illegal surgery by doctors of dubious skill. Use of "traditional medicine" methods (overdoses of various drugs, inserting various objects into uterus) for abortions is also very dangerous. Serious complications from abortions done outside of professional clinics may include infections, bleeding, and in many cases lead to death.
  • A specific complication that can arise, especially with repeated abortions by a dilatation and curettage, is the development of Asherman syndrome.
The Abortion-Breast Cancer (ABC) hypothesis is based on the fact that during early pregnancy, hormone levels increase significantly. This initiates cellular differentiation (growth) in the breast preparing for lactation. The ABC hypothesis states that if the pregnancy is aborted before full differentiation in the third trimester, then more "vulnerable" undifferentiated cells would be left than prior to the pregnancy; resulting in an elevated risk of breast cancer. The majority of interview based studies have indicated a link, some are statistically significant, but there is a debate as to how reliable they are given that the controversial nature of abortion may create recall bias. The most recent meta-analysis published in The Lancet (March 2004) of 53 epidemiological studies concluded that there was no ABC link. Nevertheless, gaps remain in the research and the "ABC link" is still a hot campaigning issue in anti-abortion circles.

Do you ever spare a thought for the poor sperm you waste when you masturbate or have protected sex? Sperm is a living entity, a human life, and you are killing it. How can you sleep at night?

What about the 'morning after pill', are you against that? That is, in the view of many, a form of abortion.

Between 0.1% and 0.2%, one or two per thousand. In the United States, this is.

Pregnancy from rape is rare, and it's not a good argument for abortion.
