"The policy was set. The war in Iraq was coming, and they were looking for intelligence to fit into the policy."

"It just sticks in my craw every time I hear them say it's an intelligence failure," Drumheller told CBS' Ed Bradley. "This was a policy failure. I think, over time, people will look back on this and see this is going to be one of the great, I think, policy mistakes of all time."

Another retired CIA official in February said the Bush administration disregarded the expertise of the intelligence community, politicized the intelligence process and used unrepresentative data in making the case for war.

LOL i wouldnt call this offical anything. there are factors that need to known in this. who is Tyler Drumheller? has this man ever contributed money to political parties? if so which ones? is he anti or pro bush adminstration?

lets not forget the MSM does not and has not reported on the evidence that would suggestion the opposite of what this man is saying.

You really have a hard time accepting the fact that most of your country's government consists of crooks, eh?

God, how stubborn are you? Bush is an inept President. But as the saying goes, in the valley of the blind the one-eyed man is king.

The CIA's chief weapons inspector said he cannot rule out the possibility that Iraqi weapons of mass destruction were secretly shipped to Syria before the March 2003 invasion, citing "sufficiently credible" evidence that WMDs may have been moved there."

http://www.washingtontimes.com/national/20041028-122637-6257r.htm
""The Russians brought in, just before the war got started, a whole series of military units," Mr. Shaw said. "Their main job was to shred all evidence of any of the contractual arrangements they had with the Iraqis. The others were transportation units."

http://www.meforum.org/article/755
"Several different intelligence sources raised red flags about suspicious truck convoys from Iraq to Syria in the days, weeks, and months prior to the March 2003 invasion of Iraq.[23]

These concerns first became public when, on December 23, 2002, Ariel Sharon stated on Israeli television, “Chemical and biological weapons which Saddam is endeavoring to conceal have been moved from Iraq to Syria.”[24] About three weeks later, Israel’s foreign minister repeated the accusation.[25] The U.S., British, and Australian governments issued similar statements."

"
U.N. satellite imagery experts have determined that material that could be used to make biological or chemical weapons and banned long-range missiles has been removed from 109 sites in Iraq, U.N. weapons inspectors said in a report obtained Thursday.

U.N. inspectors have been blocked from returning to Iraq since the U.S.-led war in 2003 so they have been using satellite photos to see what happened to the sites that were subject to U.N. monitoring because their equipment had both civilian and military uses.

In the report to the U.N. Security Council, acting chief weapons inspector Demetrius Perricos said he’s reached no conclusions about who removed the items or where they went. He said it could have been moved elsewhere in Iraq, sold as scrap, melted down or purchased."

Thank God for PuffnScruff.

You people read 3 sentences about how Iraq was a policy failure, and take it as scripture. Read both sides of the story. Don't stick to the bias nonsensical bullshit that CNN forcefeeds America. Open your eyes and stop hating America because it's the latest fad. If your going to hate America, at least be informed as to why you are hating.

Not all of it is true, and i don't really believe every word of it, but closing your eyes to shit like this is so stupid that it isn't even funny anymore. Look, whether this particular story is true or not, fact remains your country is still governed by crooks. I'll say half is true.

And yes, CNN are idiots.

lol...

No, that's not the case, I read tons of articles and saw tons of interviews over the years with people that say the exact same thing. I just felt like I need to bring this topic up, why - cause people tend to forget. There is no doubt that the US used the WMD excuse to invate Iraq, learn to accept it really. Open your eyes and don't belive anything that comes out of GWBush's mouth, really.

You didn't read a single one of the links I posted did you?

I have another one to add to it when I get out of class

Why shouldn't I have read your links? See all your links talk about about things that might have happen - no proves whatsoever, just blurry statments. Fact is they never found WMD, period. But that doesn't matter anyway cause WMD never were the reason to go there. Remember that UN presentation from Powell? He appologized himself for his false and wrong presentation.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/02/20030205-1.html
Well, it's distressful in the sense that some of the information that I presented that day we have not been able to subsequently source. Some of the sources that we used on some of the parts of the presentation I made turned out to be wrong
Quote, SECRETARY POWELL - http://www.state.gov/secretary/former/powell/remarks/33877.htm

So well, I still believe that he knew right there that he was about to show the rest of the world a false presentation, I can't find the link right now but whatever. What makes Powell better than those other dudes in the administration is that he admitted he was wrong. See. All I want to say is stop the damn lies. IF GWBush would stand up and say that he/they were wrong, that they can't find no WMD and that Iraq is a terror hotspot since the invation but certainly wasn't a danger before the invation (as it's written in the 9/11 report) - but that the troops are there and so we gotta try 2 make the best out of the situation - I'd respect that. But stop lyin in my face as if I don't have no brain. After all these years, the lies have 2 stop. Admit that you were wrong, that's all I ask for.

P.S: Good thing is, the people wake up... http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/04/25/poll.war/index.html

so you didnt read them did you? they dont blur anything. if you read them you would know that. individual each link is meaningless. all together as a collective they give an explanation about the wmds. read them.

another good read
http://meria.idc.ac.il/journal/2003/issue1/jv7n1a5.html

i'm still waiting for someone to debunk, disprove, and argue what is being claimed in the links i provided
