Iraq: 4 Years On

#1
The fifth year of the Iraq War is about to start. It's now been going on longer than World War II.

Let's try and think about the future and not whether the past was right or wrong... What's going to happen? What are the long term effects? How we will view this in ten, twenty or thirty years?

That aside, feel free to drop your thoughts/experiences about the issue here.

(I'd also recommend a read here --> http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_depth/middle_east/2002/conflict_with_iraq/default.stm)

For the Americans, yes.
lol. Yes. Last time I checked Germany invaded Poland in 1938, and the U.S. dropped the bombs in 1945. Seven years.

But I know you probably just meant longer for the Americans, who obviously entered World War II after Pearl Harbor in '41.

WWII was September 1, 1939 to August 12 or so, 1945.

And besides, comparing American involvement in Iraq to American involvement in World War II simply based on the amount of time in the war is absurd. We lost hundreds of thousands in World War II and about 3,200 in Iraq.

atleast 2 years? lol, its going to be a lot longer than that. we will be in iraq for many years. no matter who gets elected, either democrat or republican, will pull out of there. besides pulling out is stupid because we will be right back in just as fast as we leave. it's just the reality of the situation. all those people on the left calling for pullout are just trying to get votes and power. all these votes for pullout are a waste of times, its all symbolic votes. the last one barely passed as it is and it was full of legal bribes.

It's too late to pull out now. And everyone with a quart of a brain here in Euro-land is thinking the exact same thing:

Unbelievable. They stuck their nose into a hornet's nest *again*.
