My sister got a new ipod video the other day.Today,my brother had it connected to the computer and was updateding it or sumthin. When finished updating,it asked him to reset the computer. He left the ipod connected while the computer rebooted. Now the ipod seems to be fucked. The apple logo appears for a few seconds and then it switches off again. It keeps doing this over and over again.I cant reset it either.

Your Ipod is like an external HD. If you don't disconnect properly, either through Itunes when it says "Ok to disconnect" or by using "safely remove Hardware" in windows, it can be damaged.

Try holding down the menu and the select button together for 10 seconds. This is a reset for it. I had trouble with my Ipod locking up and this fixed it a few times.

To be honest they are quite poorly made, but still the best Mp3 player on the market.

one definite way of making it work would be to open the ipod and disconnect the hard dive press the white button then reconnect the hard drive
i agree with pitsey though the ipod has terrible build quality- sony's new hard drive player is much better- the thing about the ipod is that it has a huge pr machine behind it

Its ok.It was a fault with the ipod.My friend sayes that this is a fault that occurs in some ipod videos.Resetting the computer whilst the ipod is connected will do fuck all to it.

She left it back to the shop and got a new one in return. All is good.thanx for the help.
