Technology Ipod problem

#1
Here's my problem:

When I plug my USB, nothing shows up. This is the first time that happens. Before when I plugged my USB cable, it was saying "Do not disconnect" on my Ipod and now, nothing...only the normal screen (music playlist). I added songs like 1 minute before and then when I wanted to add more songs 1 minute after, it didn't work. I don't know what's wrong with it. Maybe my USB port? I just downloaded the last update but it still doesn't detect my Ipod, it recharges my Ipod but doesn't detect it...

Hit me up if someone can help me.
Thanks

What program are you using to put your songs into your ipod--> itunes? ephrod? What operating system? Also make sure to never disconnect your ipod when the "do not disconnect" screen flashes. If you are using Itunes just hit the eject button and it will tell you it is now safe to disconnect your ipod.

oh, are you sure you didnt plugin the USB cable in the port the wrong way? both the ipod and the computer. i did that before, and at the time i had a camera, and it would power up but i couldnt connect to it.

if it is indeed connected correctly try to restart the computer.

My brothers is doing the same. I had to keep plugging it in and out several times before it started updating.

I used his on my I-Tunes on my laptop. Mine works fine on it, so I know it's his Ipod.
