If Windows XP shows me one more blue screen, im gonna smash it into little tiny pieces. Won't solve the problem but it'll make me feel better.

hehe do a reinstall and make sure you get all the right and updated drivers for your hardware, also make sure your BIOS settings are default and not clocked in any way... shit should run then. If errors continue you might have a faulty piece of hardware in your computer and you can find out what it is by actually "reading" the blue screen.

Post the error here and let me have a look at it :p

Have you tryed updating your system BIOS? Or your drivers? I would Check to see if I could find an updated Bios for your MOBO from the manufactures web site and flash my BIOS. I would also check to see If I could find Updated Drivers for my MOBO from the MOBO manufacturer. Usually VIA has a 4in1 driver package and intel has somting called INF update utility. Also look for updated Drivers for other divices such as your video card.

yeah it sounds like a memory issue. Page fault in non paged area. Could also be a virtual memory problem try adjusting the size of your pagefile if it wasn't a physical memory problem.

theres really no way to tell what its from right away.

the firmware upgrade that makadon speaks of seems like your first priority.

then try changing the ram stick, if that doesnt do the trick, try using a different CPU processor, if that doesnt do the trick then you will need to replace the whole motherboard.

i've dealt with many cases involving constant page faults, and it's a hardware issue. windows xp is not cooperating with your hardware.

now there might be hope with software. If you are using windows xp sp1, install windows xp sp2. if sp2 is the current version you have, then change back to sp1. alot of times this works.
