MILAN, Italy (AP) - Forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is ready to take legal action to secure his release from demoted Juventus, the player's agent said Thursday.

"We are looking for an agreed way out but if that isn't possible, we'll seek to do so . . . by taking legal action," Ibrahimovic's agent Mino Raiola told the Italian sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport.

After an exodus of talent following Juventus' relegation to Serie B by a sports tribunal for its role in a match-fixing scandal, coach Didier Deschamps told the remaining players last week that they could not leave.

However, Raiola said that the Swedish striker did not plan to stay in Turin.

"He has already made it clear that he does not intend playing in (Serie) B and he absolutely hasn't changed his mind," Raiola said.

The sanctions sparked an exodus of players, including Gianluca Zambrotta, Lilian Thuram, Emerson, Fabio Cannavaro and Patrick Vieira.

Zambrotta and Thuram moved to FC Barcelona, while Emerson and Cannavaro joined former Juventus coach Fabio Capello at Real Madrid and Vieira transferred to Inter Milan.

Ibrahimovic signed for Juventus in 2004 from Ajax. He has two years left on his contract.

Italian teams AC Milan and Inter Milan have expressed interest in the Swede.

I wouldn't be surprized if AC Milan snatch him instead of Inter.

He's had his times where he has shown skill, I wouldn't say overrated, he's more like not consistant.

Most inconsistent. :)

I've never thought much of him during his times at Ajax. Still don't. Surprised he got to where he is. Not surprised about his lack of loyalty either.

well, if you think about it, when he played for Ajax he was godly. I guess he let cockyness get to him in Juventus.

Hardly. I've watched him in the Dutch league during his time at Ajax and the inconsistency was already rampant there. Failing to do even anything remotely practical during matches against weak opponents, then resorting to shoving his elbow in someone's face.

Not once during his times at Ajax have I seen him play and thought "I'd love to have him in my legend team".
