Since starting my new job I've lost a lot of weight.

I wake up between 5a.m. and 8a.m. depending on when I got off work. Go to the gym if I have time...which I usually don't. Eat a big breakfast before I go to work because when I get to work I don't have time to eat. I don't get off work til 10p.m-2a.m. so from
2p.m.-2a.m. I'm not eating very much at all.

The whole day my diet pretty much consists of grapefruit juice and tuna. Only because I have the packets of tuna and it's easy to take to work. I need A LOT more calories!

What healthy foods can I eat in 15 minutes that will help me gain weight and muscle?

carbs (rice and pasta). you can buy yourself some boiled rice and then microwave it and add tuna for a quick snack

nibble on nuts, seeds and dried fruit thoughout the day

should make you put on some weight.

You defo work waaaaaay too hard. Your going to have to prepare meals the night before, if you're not too tired, and take them in. Or you could try some of those "meals in a can", they're kinda like protein shakes. Don't you get many breaks working such long hours? How long's your lunch break?

Try eating something as soon as you wake up, but not too big. Then eat something after your workout and jst before work. That way you've got in two meals where before you'd have one. Have some sandwiches, shakes and a prepared meal while you're at work. So in that 12 hour period you've got you could eat every three hours - the prepared meal, two shakes and then the sandwiches.

I get breaks but 12-15 minute at a time. (Try choking down a meal that fast and see how you feel afterwards) We have a cafeteria but it takes about 8 minutes to get there and back...You do the math.

It's hard for me to eat a lot at a time because I'm used to eating 5-6 little things a day. So to train myself to eat an entire meal is VERY hard for me...my stomach gets full too fast.

It has to be something that doesn't have to be refrigerated. We do have microwaves but if it has to be microwaved for 5 minutes...I'm left with 10 minutes to eat.

Pasta is a good idea...I wish I could take protein shakes to work but I don't wanna drink a warm protein shake :gags:...Do they freeze?

You've gotta make sure you don't freeze them for too long because they lose their nutritional value if left alone too long and then they just become regular shakes.

cant u talk to the person in charge and tell them that only getting 15 minutes for a meal break is affecting ur health? cant u take longer breaks less frequently and have a decent meal in that time? who ever suggested nuts and dried fruit, thats a real good idea. u could get some chocolate protein bars, they would have calories and nutrients in them and u could eat them while u work along with the nuts. id also suggest taking fruit like apples. maybe things like that wont help u gain weight but they may be able to maintain ur weight. buy a thermos and put the protein shakes in there and then u can have it cold for a couple of hours. and then other days u could use the thermos for soup or other food u wanna keep hot/cold. if u get a good thermos they stay at the right temperature for longer than a couple hours tho

you will never gain muscle by skipping meals.you are killing your metabolism and increasing cortisol production.find some way to get in 5-7 meals a day.its essential you have that many meals.

in your case,i recommend weight gainer shakes.they dont take time to consume and they are filled with easy calories.dont just take them once a day, take them whenever you're gonna miss a meal.remember how many meals you have to have per day.

Getting in enough calories is only the first part of the equation. The second part is exercise.

if you dont do resistance training, most of the calories will get packed on as fat.if you weight train, most of the calories will go towards muscle repair, and that's when you'll gain muscle.

Exactly, you just don't eat enough and the period between breakfast and the first meal of the day is way to long, it's clear that you'll lose weight like this. Now listen, if you don't have time to eat (which I think is torture btw) then you might look for alternatives - like protein shakes, I guess you could take some milk and that box with you to work and you maybe should drink one shake or so durink work, that should provide some cals ..... but of course you shouldn't rely only on shakes, so try to eat healthy at least once a day.

ah damn, I just realized BigMack said it all before already.

You definetly have to eat more fat. Tuna and grapefruit juice contain practically no fat whatsoever. If you aren't allergic, nuts and seeds are a good idea.

-bring in the syndicate and reclaim 30 mins of pause :thumb:

-quit your job

-make yourself a chicken salad the night before, and put it into a quality lunchbox... make yourselves sandwiches... just prepare the same meals you made yourself the mornings before you went to school. :)

-McDonalds was actually a good idea, because they put some stuff that doesnt make you feel full...

Heres what you do. Take 2 or 3 hard boiled eggs, 2 or 3 tbsps or powdered skim milk, 3 cups of Tropicana Grovestand juice, and mix them all together in a blender. And then that's it, and you have a great drink to enjoy throughout the day that is full of the vitamins and proteins that you're looking for.

Also, pre-prepared oatmeal is a great energy food that would be ideal for you situation. Hope that helps. :)
