Technology I Found Some Kind Of Memory Stick Today...

its like half the length of a pencil, and it says "Crucial Technology 128mb" and on the back of it, it says "Hi speed certified USB"

is it a memory stick? I usually see these things stuck in the front slot of a computer ..what can i use this for? my computers at home dont have a slot for me to stick this in to see whats on it on the front of my computer where am i suppose to put this at?

yea its exactly like that its a memory stick right? i could put mp3's or whatever on here right? how do i open it up to see whats on it after i put it in a usb port?

Your operating system must be windows 2000 or higher to support thumb drives.

first thing you should do is visit the manufactures web site and get some more information about the thumbdrive. And download any proprietary drivers for that device if need be.

It's probably round the back. You can get wires that plug in to the USB slot, and then have a USB slot at the other end, so you can feed it round to the front of your PC. Makes it easier to plug the memory stick in.

Are you on Windows XP? Once you plug it in, a balloon should come up in the bottom right saying "New hardware/drive found" or words to that effect. You can browse to it in Windows Explorer, it should be under My Computer, called "Removable Hardware (E:')" or something like that.

Are you on Windows XP? Once you plug it in, a balloon should come up in the bottom right saying "New hardware/drive found" or words to that effect. You can browse to it in Windows Explorer, it should be under My Computer, called "Removable Hardware (E:)" or something like that.

Damn, you're lucky! How many of us JUST FIND flash drives laying around...that's awesome.
