im not gonna look at all those people who i dont know and all the stats which i really dont care about...

he's still a white sox, despite being on the A's, and while i'd normally be inclined to hate on him, his performance this year shows to me that he hasnt lost a thing and that injury plaguing him the last two years was just that...an injury...not a result of him being old...so...i still think he has another year or two left in him..he'll hit 500 if he comes back another year, and he'll def. go down as one of the greatest hitters ever.... he has an amazing eye for the ball, which is why he walked 100 times like..11 years or something like that....there's no doubt in my mind that he's one of the greater first basemen, and that he deserves a spot in the hall of fame..

as a lifelong white sox fan, i hated to see him go the way he did, but i'm so happy that he's having a great year. if he needed that change of scenery to rejuvenate him, then so be it. i still hope and believe that he will retire a white sok.

Agree. I grew up on Thomas. I have a few thousand of his trading cards. I guess ill have to root for the A's since the Sox probably wont make the playoffs this time around...

^^^i hate em; only thing i admire about them is their ability to lose and still clinch their division. but, i have no room to talk, as my chisox blow.

Chisox will go down in history as one-year wonders

how do you think the current Yankees team will go down as? with 6 future hall-of-famers on their roster (A-rod/Randy Johnson/Jeter/Rivera/Mussina/Sheffield*), a few borderline HOF guys (Posada/Williams/Abreu/Damon), a Japanese baseball legend (Matsui) and the next coming of Rod Caruw (Cano)?

^^^you do have great players there, but only a few have won a series with the yanks, six years ago. so unless they win, they will go down in history as a team with a bunch of hall of famers. if they do win this year, then you can say they were a great championship team. we'll see in a few weeks. they have a great chance to win, and even though i'd rather them not, i'm not counting them out.

i dunno how the sox managed to pull it off last year....it was all small ball and good pitching.... but this year, i think the pitching either had a bad year, or was bad all along and just had one good year last year...so i dunno...

as for the yanks, it would be terrible if they didnt win it this year... not having pitching is a bad excuse in their case.... to have to sit a guy like melky cabrera cuz there are actually better players than him is amazing...the team has that much depth on the hitting front, they can fuck pitching goodbye.... even if a-rod cant get a big hit (which is such a cliche, i feel stupid even saying that) the other guys can come up big.... all of them can... matsui especially...

and why was there an asterisk next to sheff??? that's just fucking retarded.... he didnt use steroids.... there's a whole racial reason behind it in addition to other factors... he's not gonna use steroids..sheff is the real deal..
