Football influenced English culture simply because of every mans childhood dream of making it a pro footballer. In the life of a ordinary working man, football is the only way 2 escape from everyday problems. thats why u see most people looking depressed for 3 months every year, between now and august 7th, due 2 the end of the season.

Football is and will allways be this countries #1 sport.

on a match day u meet your mates, goto the pub for a few pints, watch the game, and get back into the boozer 2 reflect on the 90minutes.

also, when ITV used 2 have a live game on a sunday afternoon(before the premiership) families used 2 get together and crowd round the tv sets 2 watch the games, no matter who was playing. they were good old days.

hooliganism is a part of every football nations country, but due 2 the violent nature of the english male, it gets focused on more than ultras from italy, who take right-wing propagander into the stadiums with them and also chant nazi songs and that. u just have 2 look at lazio's fans to see this.
