Is this the best approach to losing some weight quicker?

would it better to do seven repititions of jogging for 30 seconds and sprinting for 30 seconds starting off rather than jogging for 2 miles? is that a more effective way of getting fit?

HIIT? Definitely will boost your metabolism. I think if you're doing 30 second sprints and giving it your all you'll
prob need more recovery time...2mins?

And yes 7 intervals sounds decent.

^^yea the plan was for 30 seconds sprinting and 30 seconds jogging but it didnt work out like that lol.

it was more like 30 seconds sprinting and 1 minute jogging. im not very fit atm lol

but this would be a better approach than jogging 2 or 3 miles?

Lol nahhh. I take at least 2mins and I don't even jog...I walk it. :/ and yes I'm a fan of anything that shortens my amount of time doing cardio.I like the comparison between sprinters and long distance runners. Sprinters look better physically. You lose weight and gain muscle.

yea i hate that too. jogging around the road for 2 or 3 miles. A shorter more intense session is probably better.

yea sprinters are always more muscular whereas long distance runners are very skinny.

there was a time when i could jog for over 10 miles without getting tired lol
