Technology Help! My Laptop often Crashes

#1
I'd like to know what can I do with it? I have a Windows Xp Pentium 4 1.50 GHZ laptop, everything is good on it, but 2 or 3 times a day, the Laptop completely freezes, and I get a blue screen saying Windows has shut down my system to prevent damage I don't know. I don't know why it does that , if anyone know something about this please Help!

1) Is it a particular program that freezes the computer? You know, when you click on it and the cpu crashes
2) Could be a virus/script in ehich it is programmed itself to "shut down" at a certain point in time. Use an anti-virus software.
3) As a precaution use anti-spyware software like adaware and spybot search and destroy in which are free at www.download.com
4) Worst come to shove reformat your harddrive.

well actually , I found out that it happens everytime I listen to music... and when I get the error , it's written Kernel_stack_inpage_error and I think maybe something is fucked with my soundcard hardware?

It seems you have a virus. Get an anti-virus software asap. If it aint read where it says "Not a boot sector virus." It gives you some hints to what you can do.
