We're half-way through the football season, how do you think the next six months are going to pan out?
Premier League: United are top by six points, Liverpool and Arsenal are both out of the title race. United are usually better in the second half of the season, can the keep up their fine form and bring the title back to Old Trafford?
La Liga: Surprise package Sevilla are two points ahead of Barcelona with Real Madrid in third. Can Capello end their run of three seasons with a league title? Will Capello even be there at the end of the season, after failing to endear himself to fans or turn Real Madrid's fortunes around?
Serie A: Inter predictably sit atop the Italian table, 7 points ahead of Roma in second. AC Milan are down in 12th, thanks in part to an 8 point deduction at the start of the season. It looks like a two-horse race, but can Roma overcome Inter to win their first Serie A title since Fabio Capello won it with them in 2001?
Bundesliga: Werder Bremen top the title based on goal difference with Schalke in second and Bayern Munich in third. Hamburger could see themselves relegated out of the German top-flight for the first time since the end of World War I as they find themselves in the relegation zone alongside five-time Bundesliga champions Borussia Monchengladbach.
Ligue 1: Lyon looks set to win Le Championnat for the sixth consecutive season, sitting 15 points clear of second-placed Lens. Under-achieving Monaco and PSG both find themselves in the bottom six.
Champions League: The knockout stages kick off next month, and all four English clubs have a chance to go through. Jose Mourinho faces old club Porto, Manchester United take on last year's tormentors Lille, Arsenal play Eredivisie league leaders PSV and Liverpool have a tough tie against Barcelona. Inter host Valencia in the first leg of their tie, AC Milan go to Celtic Park, Roma play Lyon and Real Madrid take on Bayern Munich.
My picks:
Premier League: United. It'll be close, but I think United can do it.
La Liga: I think Barcelona will be top come the end of the season. If he can't turn Madrid around then Capello's second spell at the Bernabeu might be as short as his first. I could see a certain Portuguese bigmouth taking the reins.
Serie A: Can't see anyone but Inter lifting the Scudetto this season. Juve are showing some bouncebackability and it looks like they'll be back in Serie A next season.
Bundesliga: I fancy Werder for the title, assuming Klose is still there when the window closes.
Ligue 1: Lyon have won it already.
Champions League: Hmm, I don't know. Should be a lot of big, big teams in the quarters and semis. It might all depend on the luck of the draw.
