Greg Maddux traded to Dodgers

Maddux has still got the stuff he needs to win. I think being on the mound for a team he knows will help him win will help his confidence, which in turn will improve his performance.

All year I thought the Dodgers would win the division. If Kent and Nomar can get back and do what they do, San Diego needs to watch out.

^^Yes, I also think his presence and leadership is going to help that pitching staff and team out overall, if they are in the hunt in September, I will not be surprised.

well, being a cubs fan, i gotta admit i was one of those people that would get mad when maddux would give up runs early in the game...but i guess the cubs offense never really helped either...its just that i felt those early runs could have been prevented, and after looking at what this guy's done his whole career, to come into chicago and put up numbers as ugly as those, at least according to what we're used to, it's really disappointing...add that to the problems the cubs have with..oh say, winning a fucking game, you get pretty mad with anyone that has the slightest bit to do with it...

but i understand he isnt the overpowering maddux he was and that lead to me wanting him to leave....he still has "it" while the cubs dont, so its best he wins a ring for once....

correct me on this, but was he not the braves team that won the WS?? the papers in chicago are acting as if it'll be his first time winning a ring....

Maddox was a godsend for the Dodgers, not sure if I really understood the Julio Lugo move, though. Is there much of a place for him when Kent comes back?

And I am gonna miss Cesar Izturis, definitely.

izturis was struggling, but i know he can definetly do much better than what he's shown the past year and a half....i had him on my 04 fantasy team, and he did wonders for my hitting...really a good guy...

as far as lugo goes, hahaha, he's on my fantasy team this year...and to be honest, i think he might take over kent's spot at 2B...kent's been on the dl twice this year...or maybe 3, im not sure...but he's really gettin old an unreliable...plus, correct me if im wrong, but he is signed for this year only right? so def. lugo's gonna get in cuz he gets on base and his defense isnt too bad either...of course he's playing a new position

also, nomar is injured too, so lets say kent comes back and does fine, he could go right back to first in case nomar's still aching...nomar being on the cubs for a bit, i think i know what's gonna end up happening with this guy...he had such a good start....
