Marino had the stats, Montana had the rings, Elway had the clutch performances, and Young had the complete package. What's your opinion?

Personally, I go with Elway. I think all around he was the best, and no one could carry a team on his shoulders like he could when they needed it most.

Edit: BTW, sorry if I forgot anybody you deem worthy. And no, Joe Namath is not worthy.

Montana all the way. Although I wonder how many rings he would have without Rice catching those balls for him. Elway is a close second.

wut the hell is Brett Favre doin on ther , he cant even pronounce his name properly. Hes no where near the greatest QB

I think Ellway is the best, Montana's a close second, and steve young's close as well

Saint, is that strictly your "Viking" heritage speaking for you? You know Brett deserves to be on the list, if not for anything but his toughness, his willingness to actually show up and play (which has always been kind of a shaky area for players up there in Minny, huh?), not to mention his...omnipotent presence near the top of as many all-time stat lists as you can name for a QB. He's the last of his kind, a complete, and total gunslinger, and there's nobody I'd rather watch play. Is he the best? He's my favorite, that's all I really care about.

As far as Elway goes, as good as he was, I'll always remember him whining about being drafted to the Colts before he even stepped foot in this league, Eli Manning before there was Eli Manning. How can you respect someone like that, I never learned how to, I'm sorry, regardless of his stats. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve a place on the list, though.

My dad would've voted for Staubach, he always was a Cowboy fan.

partially, but i also jus hate him, and think hes a retard. Plus he cant even pronounce his own name, last year, i don wen exactly, but he pronounced his own name "Farb" like its bad enough that its pronounced "Farv" wen the "v" is clearly in front of the "r" but wen u cant even pronounce that right, well then ur jus a dum ass.

I was so ready to come in here and rip your ass if you did not have him on the list! lol

Most Super Bowl's played in! and the first three times he did not have anyone else on the team! he did it virtually by himself.

Even if someone else has the Comback Record Elway is still King of the 4th quarter Comback.

Montana had #80, among many other great players. Montana would not have lasted 4 seasons on the mid 80's Broncos.

Marino never did shit in the post Season so in my book that knocks him out of the running.

I say Elway, Followed by Young.

Don't say Elway didn't have anybody though. Terrell Davis ran for 2,000 twice didn't he? Shannon Sharpe's only the greatest tight end of all time. And Rod Smith and Ed McCaffrey were half way decent if I remember correctly.

Yes when I say he did not have anyone I was speaking of the 80's Three time Super Bowl loser Elway! he made it that far with virtually no one!

Then you are right he got a great suporting cast in TD, and the others you mentiond and a above avrage D!

I just mean if Elway had a Rice his whole Carrer he would have wone 5 or more! not just been in 5!
