I only caught the tale end of this discussion on The Wright Stuff this morning, so I might have missed some of the story.
"The Yorkshire Ripper" Peter Sutcliffe, who killed 13 women and attacked many more, wants to be let out for a day to see his sister, who is dying of cancer (she's not able to go to visit him, so he would have to be let out to visit her). Should he be allowed to? If a dying woman wants to see her brother one last time before she dies, should she be allowed to? Is it not her right?
As I recall, Sutcliffe was allowed out before to see where his father's ashes had been scattered.
